GOT WHAT IT TAKES?
If you're serious about entering the world of professional wrestling, the first thing you need is a world class trainer. Cody Hawk is the man responsible for kick starting the careers of not just Dean Ambrose, but NXT's Solomon Crowe and Slate Randall. As well as international women's star Hailey Hatred. If you're interested in following in their footsteps, click on for MORE INFO.
Unlike many websites, Dean-Ambrose.Net is not run on a 'free host' and instead operates on a private dedicated server to keep things nuisance Ad free and running as fast as possible with absolutely minimal down time. It also keeps the site firmly in our hands with nobody governing us. This being the case, it costs a lot to run each month. I've had enquiries about how people can help so I thought I'd add the Donation button back to the site for a little while, if you'd like to help toward server costs, anything you send will go straight toward them and be very much appreciated! Thankyou!

As we celebrate the sites 6 Year Anniversary we bring you our first ever Fan Q&A with the man himself, Dean Ambrose. We asked fans across our social media platforms to submit their questions and we chose 16 of the most interesting for him to answer, as well as a few ‘Bonus’ short answer questions. We cover everything from favorite books and superpowers to thoughts on The Shield split and more. Check it out below and a huge thanks to Dean for helping us celebrate our 6th year online. Here’s to a busy year 7!
Would you ever write an autobiography and what would it be called? Sent by Martha Comellas A: Probably not. I actually turned down a book offer this year. I don’t like to talk about myself enough for that I think. Also, the best stories I can’t remember well enough to accurately recall, some stories aren’t mine to tell, plus I wouldn’t wanna throw anyone under the bus not in a position to defend themselves, inadvertently or not.
Which was your favorite scene to film in 12 Rounds 3: lockdown Sent by Ashley Koch & Darren Connolly A: The fight in the locker room. Also the roof fight with the horrible bomb special effect. All of the action stuff was fun, playin GI Joe and gettin paid. Dude, sign me up!
Do you have any hidden talents you’ve never shown on TV? Sent by Phelan Newman & Stella A: I’ll %!@# your world up at Jeopardy. I’ll spelling bee your ass under the table too.
Would you like to be a guest on Ghost Adventures (Zak Bagans has said he’d love to have you on the show) and where would you like to investigate? Sent by Sarah Gonnella A: No. %!@# ghosts.
If you could go back in time knowing what you know now and give yourself some advice, what would the advice be? Sent by Amber Jackson & Lucy Davies A: Learn to take advice… thing is I wouldn’t have taken that advice.
What was the Total Divas experience like? Sent by Ashley A: Actually really fun. I had no plans on participating at all, but once I saw how their operation works up close I was like.. this is so stupid and hilarious I have to get in on it, how can you not have fun with this ridiculousness?
What was it like meeting Vince McMahon and Triple H for the very first time? Sent by Dylan Fulk A: …I honestly don’t remember. What a S%!@#! answer. I apologize. You get a coupon for another question at a later date.
Whats the best advice you can give to someone just getting started in wrestling? Sent by Lots of people! A: Crawl, walk, run. Master the Guerrero rolls. Have fun. Do it for yourself, not anybody else.. Every day, cuz otherwise it wont be fun and you probably wont be making enough money to do something that’s not fun.
If tomorrow was your last day on earth, how would you spend it? Sent by Jessica (sassy_icajess) A: Hiking, fishing, having some sex, karaoke and submission wrestling. Logistically that is a difficult day to plan, luckily I could hire an expensive assistant or event planner for one day, cuz i’ll be dead the next.
How do you think things would have turned out if they’d had you turn on The Shield instead of Seth? Would you have preferred it? Sent by Linda (SkyHighRollins) A: …Nah, I can’t imagine it happening any other way now. I think it worked out exactly like it was supposed to.
If you could go back and relive any one moment, what would it be? Sent by Jessi Lee A: The cigarette I had after a terrified doctor recommended orange juice, after nearly bleeding to death in a tournament in Florida. I wrestled Sami Callihan 30 min later!
Site Note: For those wondering, the match was a Full Impact Pro tournament match in 2010, against Arik Cannon. You can view captures Here. Not for the faint hearted!
Would you like to open your own wrestling school or be a trainer at NXT one day? Sent by Laurie (purple_sneakers) A: If I had the time to do that I wouldn’t be wrestling, and when I’m out, I wanna be out… that being said something like that’s not out of the question.
Whats your favorite book and do you have any book recommendations? Sent by Lyzette Austin & Nina Alman A: “Of Mice and Men”. Favorite when I was a kid and I still like it. I’ve always been a big reader, I used to spend hours at the library all the way into my 20’s, here’s a tip for everyone: the library is %!@#in free. FREE! They just let you take stuff. Check it out, I’m tellin you. Reading is probably my No.1 hobby these days because its something you can do on the road at anytime, I get through 1 or 2 books a weeks usually. Currently I’m into the Jack Reacher series. Anything Gillian Flynn writes is good. “The Tao of Willie” by Willie Nelson is a big favorite of mine, everybody should read that.
If you could have any superpower what would it be and why? Sent by Estefany Sanchez A: Invisibility, or that Mystique s!@#.. cuz I like the idea of slipping out of sight forever. Also, because the most badass way to do good deeds is doing them anonymously.
What was the most physically draining match you’ve had in your career so far? Sent by Oz A: They’ve all run together for so long. People ask me often how my body is holding up, my standard reply is I’ve been sore, tired and hurt for 13 years. That’s not a specific answer but its the most accurate I’ve got.
If you could pick any artist to play you a theme song who would it be? Sent by CraziMandy A: The Deftones.
If Dean Ambrose was a Pop Tart flavour which one would it be? Sent by jenxvazquez A: Cherry. Unfrosted.
Do you like pickles? Sent by Tracy (xoTracyyLxo) A: Very much.
Favorite flavour blow pop? Sent by Taylor Alyssa A: Blue.
If you could have anybody play you in a movie about your life who would it be? Sent by Sheridan A: Jeff Bridges. That answer is based mostly on the fact that I watched “Hell or high water” yesterday.
A big thankyou to everybody that sent in questions, apologies if we didn’t get to yours but we had to keep numbers down, he’s a busy guy and we tried to be varied! Huge thanks again to Dean also for taking time out of his schedule to do this. Check back with us on our social media pages as we’ll be giving away some Dean merch in our continued 6th Anniversary celebrations soon!
Kicking off our new looks with a brand new Gallery layout, with a header by the brilliant BlitzFinn and coded by Ana of Designtopia. Check it out by clicking the banner preview above! Remember you can still find all imagery from Deans indie days on our Retro Gallery.
Theres a new look coming to main site soon! And more goodies as we head toward our site 6 year Anniversary!
It’s the sites 6 year anniversary coming up in a couple of months and we started planning a little early, we’re going to have various mini celebrations up until the day, including new layouts on the site and Gallery, as well as giveaways on Twitter, then on the day we’ll have an exclusive fan Q&A with Dean himself. Here’s how to submit your questions for him to answer!
He’s offered to answer a number of ‘good questions’ for us, so we want you to think outside the box, think beyond all the normal hum drum questions he’s answered 100 times before in interviews and be original! We’ll pick 10 to 15 of the best ones and send them on to him for him to answer. We’re collecting the questions well in advance because he doesn’t have a huge amount of free time so it gives him plenty of time to get them done. The entire Q&A will be posted on the Anniversary date (April 11th).
You can submit your questions via Twitter using our @DeanAmbroseNet and the Hashtag #DANetAnniversary OR you can post them in comments below OR you can email them to email@example.com! Please be sure to title your emails ‘Ambrose Q&A’.
Myself and the whole Dean-Ambrose.Net crew would like to wish Dean a very Happy 31st Birthday! Congrats on an incredible year, on climbing that mountain and making your entire fanbase always proud. And thankyou for what you do for the site, we’re with you all the way. Have a great and hopefully relaxing day off, with cake and beer.. or beer cake. Or something. You earned it.
Fans visiting the site can leave a Birthday message for Dean below in the comments, please be aware they’re all screened first before going up so try and keep them PG! Anything inappropriate will not be approved.
Dean signed our latest Gallery layout for us, we’ve added it to our site exclusive album in full HQ, you can also view all our other signed layouts, messages and photos with Dean for the site over there!
Following in the footsteps of our Media Gallery which got a makeover last week, we present you a brand new look here on the site! Coded once again by the lovely Cristy, we’ve gone for a barbed wire asylum look we hope you’ll love. As usual, there might be a few bugs so bear with us while we tweak and get it running perfectly.
We’ve also added lots more quotes to the Insane Rantings pages thanks to staffer Kim, who’s been trawling through them painstakingly.
More Ambrose updates to come so as always, stick with us!
You voted and let your voices be heard in the thousands! We have your Top 3 Moments of the year, and the voting was close! Everything Mr Ambrose does is entertaining so that’s hardly a surprise. Check them out above, and as an interesting note the Ladder match between Rollins and Dean at MITB lost out on the #3 spot by just 1 vote! 2015 was exciting and dramatic for Dean, with disappointments and highs coming thick and fast, ending on the high note of Dean’s claim to the Intercontinental Championship. We look forward to seeing him defend it in 2016 and rock out another year, we’ll be behind him all the way.
Stick around to the end of the video to see a special retrospective on Dean’s year and everything thats led him to this point. Or you can check out that video on it’s own below.
From Championship wins to making movies, Dean’s perseverance and endurance and never say die attitude are going to keep him at the top of his game for a long time to come. Enjoy! And Happy New Year!
It’s that time of the year again and we’re rounding up Deans shenanigans and putting them to vote. What were your top Ambrose moments of the year? We’ll be featuring the Top 3 as voted for by you in a special end of year post. Yes, we know 2015 isn’t quite over yet and theres still time for Dean to cause more trouble, but anything he gets up to after now we’ll include in next years poll. And yes, Lockdown was a massive part of Dean’s year, but we’re just counting WWE TV moments here. Lockdown will be featured in our end of year roundup!
You can cast 5 votes this year, so get your thinking caps on, go revisit some awesome moments (You can check out everything in our Video Galleries HERE & HERE) and let your voice be heard!
We here at Dean-Ambrose.Net would like to wish him a very Happy 30th Birthday, welcome to the dirty thirty club dude, keep showing those young bulls how it’s done! We look forward to another year of mayhem and shenanigans and you have a whole horde of people behind you rooting for you every step of the way. We hope you have an awesome day with at least a little bit of cake.
We have a Gallery of fan Submitted Birthday Artwork over Here! – If you’d like to add yours, drop us a tweet!
We also have a Birthday giveaway going on on our Twitter, a follow and an RT is all it takes to enter to win a Christmas themed package!
You can leave your Birthday wishes for Dean below, try to keep them brief and PG! They will be screened just to keep things appropriate! We’ll be sending them to him later on.
As you can see we’re back up with a brand new look! A big thanks to Cristy for popping out of retirement for one more collaboration with me, she always did see in to my brain! I thought we’d throw a mix of general Lunacy and Lockdown in to this one, with a firey color scheme we’ve never had before. Really hope you all enjoy it. We also have a simple new layout up over on the Media Gallery that hopefully you’ll like and find quick to load.
We’re currently overhauling the two Galleries, moving all WWE content from the Archive Gallery over to the current, so that the archive becomes Independents coverage only. Stick with us for that!
Halloween just puts us in a giving mood here at DANet, so here’s a competition for everybody that enjoys this time of year. We’re holding a Pumpkin Carving Competition! – We want you to submit your Dean Ambrose related Pumpkin carvings to the site. All entries will be displayed and put up to a public vote poll! The winner will receive 2 WWE Dean Ambrose T Shirts of their choice from WWEShop.com as well as 2 8x10s of their choice and a Dean Ambrose Mug. So it’s well worth entering even if you’ve never carved a pumpkin before!
Theres a few rules and criteria you will have to meet to qualify for entry.
1. The Pumpkin MUST be Dean Ambrose/Jon Moxley related. That means logos, images, anything that we commonly associate with Dean or his past on the independent scene. Try and be creative!
2. Pumpkins MUST be carved, not just drawn on. However we will accept marker work just used for highlights or decoration. The majority must be carved.
3. You must submit a final, finished photograph of your pumpkin AS WELL AS photos or video of yourself or parent/guardian carving the pumpkin. So that we know you did it and didn’t just pluck an image off of the internet! (If you don’t wish to have a photo of yourself public, don’t worry. Submit your final photo without you in it. We won’t be releasing the ones of you carving, they’ll just stay with us as proof of your entry.)
4. If for whatever reason you can’t get your hands on a Pumpkin or find them far too tough to carve, we’ll also accept carved Watermelons! They’re becoming quite a thing and very pretty with a candle inside!
5. You may submit more than one entry, but each submission must have photo proof of you doing it.
Thats it! If you are a parent entering for your child, please let us know so we can size the prizes accordingly. Please take care carving your pumpkin, no accidents! If you need tutorials on how to carve, Youtube is absolutely full of them! Yes, you can enter from anywhere in the world. You’ve got nothing to lose so give it a shot!
Send your entries in to: firstname.lastname@example.org
You have until October 30th to submit your Pumpkins. Voting will go up on October 31st and will run for 3 days! If you have any questions you can contact us via Twitter (@DeanAmbroseNet) via email, or leave a comment right under this post! Good luck, have fun, and Happy Halloween!
