Earning high praise from independent companies around the world, he became a household name for the hardcore, holding championship gold in companies such as Combat Zone Wrestling. With his name capturing the attention of wrestling fans across the globe, Jon soon earned a developmental contract with the WWE. He then took on the name of Dean Ambrose and began the process of cementing his name in stone. Feuding with William Regal and Seth Rollins most notably on NXT, Ambrose went on to make his much anticipated main roster debut at Survivor Series 2012, coming in alongside Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns to make a massive impact in the main event, aiding CM Punk in retaining his WWE Championship. The Shield tore an unstoppable path through the WWE for over a year before going their separate ways and into singles competition. Dean first went after Shield traitor Seth Rollins for revenge, and then on to win Intercontinental and WWE World Heavyweight Gold. Described as “Fearless, wild and always unpredictable” as well as a “world class competitor and infamous troublemaker” – Dean Ambrose is the star to watch!

Adrian Neville issued a challenge to Ambrose last week on NXT, asking him to put his United States Championship on the line if he thought he was so much better than him. Ambrose of course accepted and headed in to NXT this week to put the rookie back in his place, I mean who does he think he is stepping up to the greatest champion in WWE today? Dean toyed with Neville for the most part, keeping the high flying wannabe grounded and stopping him from using his usual aerial tactics to get an advantage. If theres one thing Dean knows how to do (amidst the many thousands of other things he nows how to do) it’s find an opponents Achilles heel. Neville wouldn’t stay down though and did give Dean a run for his money, as soon as he found an opening to take to the air, he had Dean on the run. Hitting his impressive high flying finisher, it could have been a major upset, but it was a case of 1, 2.. NO. Better luck next time! As Rollins and Reigns made the save for their partner.

Psht, he was playing possum anyway, always play with their minds. Right, Dean?

The Shield gave Neville a good beat down to accentuate their point, then left before Graves and co could get involved. Message sent.

A handful of weeks ago Seth Rollins lost the NXT Championship despite the best efforts of his Shield Cohorts to Big E Langston. Tonight, the #1 Contendership to the title was up in a match between Corey Graves and Conor O’Brian, but you didn’t expect The Shield to let the past injustice go unanswered did you? As the match appeared to be swinging in O’Brians favor the lights went out and there was nothing but bad news for the pair as they came back up again. Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns attacking and hitting both men with the Triple Powerbomb, clearing out the ring and then taking to the mics. Ambrose reminding the NXT crowd and everybody else that now that The Shield’s in town, they should keep their guard up whoever and wherever they are. You can’t run from justice. Rollins went on to re-iterate a point from RAW, stating they’re there to right the wrongs of an industry gone awry, things are going to get better, but before they do they’re going to have to get a lot worse. The proof? Just ask Sheamus, John Cena and Ryback how bad things can get. Roman declared nobody is outside the reach of the Shield, with Ambrose making the final call to arms, Believe in the Shield.

Oh Dean, we do.
In a number one contender’s match for the NXT title, Corey Graves was set to take on Conor O’Brian. However, the match ended on a sour note; the Shield rushing the ring to attack both of the men, not allowing a contender to be established. Dean grabbed a microphone after the assault, making sure all the locker room knew that they should keep both eyes open before passing the microphone around the group before they departed without consequence.
In an explosive eight-man tag for the main event, Dean Ambrose shockingly teamed up with one of his former foes, Seth Rollins, along with CJ Parker and Bo Dallas. Across the ring stood Kassius Ohno, Corey Graves, Erick Rowan, and Leo Kruger.  The elimination styled match up  left the fans in attendance on edge – Dean getting eliminated by Corey Graves after a submission. However, in the end Seth Rollins was the last man standing allowing his team – Dean, included, to receive the victory.

Almost a complete battle of the Filth Parade, Dean Ambrose teamed up tonight with Corey Graves against the duo of CJ Parker and Bo Dallas. Opting to leave the competition halfway through, Dean and Corey were forced back into action as CJ and Bo grabbed hold of them to prevent a double count out. Once all men were back in action, CJ and Bo managed to walk away with their heads held high and their hands in the air.

Heading into the Halloween night at NXT in Tampa, Florida, Dean went on to wrestle a wrestler of his past. Taking on the ferocious and powerful Luke Harper, Dean brought his all against the newest member of the Wyatt family. A Regal Stretch, a hard-hitting fight, and two men from similar paths gave the fans something to remember.

Perhaps each hard blow was revenge for the Open the Southern Gate assault before the Doi/Moxley match? 😉
