Published by Jen, Filed in are up to their list making shenanigans again and this time it’s who we’re to expect big things from in the coming year, like we needed telling Dean Ambrose was about to take the WWE by the balls and twist. But here’s their confirmation, and what they had to say!

The Shield
If you had asked the WWE Universe who Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns were in the first 11 months of 2012, there’s a strong chance you’d have gotten a blank stare and a raised eyebrow. Now, of course, it’s a different story. Ever since this triumvirate of NXT Superstars surged into Survivor Series and laid waste to Ryback, “The Shield” has inspired untold unease among the ranks of WWE Superstars, leaving them to wonder who will be next in their crosshairs. Claiming to defend “justice” in a WWE that allegedly lacks it, the trio was hardly shy in choosing its targets: John Cena, Ryback, Randy Orton, Team Hell No, and others who they believe embody a broken system that they swore to change before NXT. With Ambrose as the group’s mouthpiece, Rollins as its daredevil and Reigns as its bruiser, The Shield made its biggest statement yet by defeating Team Hell No & Ryback in a brutal Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match at WWE TLC, ensuring their reign of terror would continue well into 2013. And the scary thing is, they’re just getting warmed up.

Published by Jen, Filed in are counting down the most significant moments of 2012 and of course our boy Dean Ambrose made one of the biggest impacts this year when he made his debut at Survivor Series in the Main Event alongside his Shield Brethren Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Here’s what they had to say!

At Survivor Series 2012, up-and-coming NXT hopefuls Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins appeared from nowhere, interfering in a Triple Threat WWE Title Match between WWE Champion CM Punk and John Cena and Ryback. As Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns Powerbombed Ryback through an announce table, Punk was able to score the three-count on his Cenation adversary. Questions immediately began to circulate as to whether or not they had acted on the outspoken titleholder’s behalf.

Later, the trio explained that they had arrived to correct “injustice” in the WWE, referring to themselves collectively as The Shield. Neither Punk nor the new faction claimed that they were connected.

Over the next few weeks, the rogue attackers assaulted several Superstars, including WWE Tag Team Champions Kane & Daniel Bryan, Ryback, Rey Mysterio, Sin Cara, The Miz and Randy Orton.

Eventually, they would take on and defeat Team Hell No and Ryback in the first-ever Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match at WWE TLC.

Finally managing to work themselves onto the Power 25 Ranking list after their epic battle at TLC, the Shield have now began their official climb. Despite their phenomenal victory, the boys only managed to come in at #22, but with time? We can only assure that they’ll shoot further up! The below is what the list makers had to say!

Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns defeated Ryback & Tag Team Champions Team Hell No in an epic Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match Sunday, and catapult into the top 25.

Rounding out both teams are perhaps the match’s most unpredictable competitors, the volatile Kane and the seemingly unhinged Dean Ambrose. Though Kane’s tumultuous personal history is well-documented, far less is known about Ambrose. Just a taste of his tenure in NXT predecessor Florida Championship Wrestling, however, is more than enough to convince any non-believer that the scraggly-haired Ambrose is capable of eerily vicious outbursts.

Published by Jen, Filed in have gotten the WWE Superstars to weigh in on the matches lined up for this Sundays TLC Pay Per View and on the subject of The Shield, it seems opinions are divided!

Maybe no match on the WWE TLC lineup holds the same level of intrigue as the Six-Man Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match, which features the official in-ring debut of Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins. When it comes to making predictions, however, this bout appears too tough for some Superstars to call. Though some competitors declined to comment on the Six-Man TLC Match (whether for fear of repercussions or due to genuine uncertainty over who’s in the catbird seat, no one can be sure), caught up with two Superstars — former Nexus cohorts, no less — who had no problem offering their opinions.

Wade Barrett: Team Hell No & Ryback is a formidable team, [and] they’ve all got their individual strengths. Obviously, experience is on the side of Kane, Daniel Bryan’s an incredible technician, and you have the power of Ryback. And then you’ve got The Shield, who are kind of an unknown entity.

I really empathize with the position The Shield are in because I was in a similar position when I was leading Nexus in 2010 in the main event of SummerSlam, when we were taking on the WWE veterans. Unfortunately, on that occasion, it didn’t end well for us. I hope for the sake of The Shield they do a little better. I’m certainly pulling for The Shield, but if I’m honest, I think Team Hell No & Ryback got ’em beat.

Michael McGillicutty: I’ve got to go with The Shield. Those guys are a cohesive unit, and that’s what it takes to get victories here in WWE. Take a look at Team Hell No. Talk about a bunch of weirdoes, man. They don’t care about anything but themselves and who’s going to get the pinfall in a contest. Then you’ve got Ryback, and I still ain’t believing his hype. The win’s going to go to The Shield, bottom line.

In the light of news of CM Punk’s apparent knee surgery today, has an extensive article up on Punk’s injury and what this will mean for TLC if he’s unable to compete. Will Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns get their first match in a 3 on 1 against Ryback? We can only hope. Here’s an excerpt from the article!

If Punk is not stripped of the title, WWE TLC could become the first pay-per-view in years not to feature the WWE Champion in action. Considering Raw Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero’s seemingly tenuous grip on WWE’s flagship program, it appears unlikely she would let matters come to that. Alternatively, perhaps The Queen Diva is already hard at work on a contingency plan that would impress even Mr. McMahon. Could an interim champion be named? It was only last year that Punk’s walkout with the title at Money in the Bank necessitated the crowning of a new champion. That duel-champion controversy was resolved at SummerSlam 2011 with an Undisputed WWE Championship Match between Punk and Cena. Could a similar situation happen this year?

And what would Punk’s absence from WWE TLC mean for his scheduled opponent, Ryback? Maybe WWE’s dominant omnivore, finding his order of Punk out of stock, would seek out a new three-course meal of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, known collectively as The Shield?

Let it not be forgotten either that should Punk vs. Ryback be scrapped, the WWE TLC event would still be in need of a bout that carries the Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match stipulation. Vickie’s tenure in charge of Raw has been nothing if not capricious. Could Ryback find himself warring amid tables, ladders and chairs against a brand-new opponent? There are still top Superstars without matches announced for WWE TLC, most notably Randy Orton, Alberto Del Rio and U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro — all of whom would be fresh matchups for the bald-headed shredder.

Published by Jen, Filed in is still buzzing, as is the whole world, with the arrival of The Shield and more specifically for us, Dean Ambrose. But their motives are still in question after their actions on RAW. .com provides another article and gives you the chance to have your say!

By now, the entire WWE Universe knows their name — The Shield.

After brutally attacking Ryback at Survivor Series, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns changed the entire landscape of WWE. (PHOTOS) But one has to question if their actions contradict their words.

“We’re not renegades. We’re not mercenaries. We’re not The Nexus. We’re about principles. We’re about honor. Where honor no longer exists, we’re going to step in. We’re a shield from injustice.”Dean Ambrose

Although WWE Champion CM Punk has been the one to reap the benefits of the group’s actions, they claim it is just “coincidence.” If Ryback or Cena were the ones being wronged, they would act on their behalf just the same, they said. (WATCH: THE SHIELD EXPLAINS ITS MOTIVES)

But was putting Ryback through a table at Survivor Series in a 3-on-1 attack fair? What about yet another 3-on-1 attack on Ryback the next night on Raw? (PHOTOS | WATCH). Despite his size, Ryback didn’t stand a chance. What honor is there in three Superstars attacking just one? And certainly, the unexpected attack on Tyson Kidd and Santino Marella on Nov. 20 didn’t involve any honor. (FULL STORY)

Despite the group’s claims, it begs the question: Is the black-clad trio being upfront about its intentions, or is there something more sinister lurking behind The Shield? As the group continues to make a major impact, the entire WWE Universe will be keeping a watchful eye on what their brand of justice will bring next.

Is The Shield out to right wrongs and stop injustice in WWE? (VOTE NOW) Or are they really hypocrites? Post your comments below, Tout your ideas or sound off now on Facebook and Twitter using #TheShield.

Dean Ambrose is a dangerous man.

The Cincinnati scrapper began his path to WWE with a fearless career on the independent scene, notable for his ability both to absorb and to distribute punishment in equal measure. Through his years toiling away in obscurity, Ambrose competed in some of the most vicious environments imaginable, sacrificing his body and blood in the pursuit of inflicting as much damage on his opponent as humanly possible. Victory was incidental. What mattered to Ambrose was always the message.

The trend would continue upon Ambrose’s arrival in WWE’s developmental territory. The young Superstar had barely set foot in the big leagues when he laid down a challenge at the feet of William Regal, ultimately competing with the Englishman in a brutal one-on-one match that left Regal scarred and Ambrose with a dislocated shoulder.

When asked for his motivation behind such incidents, Ambrose’s response was chilling. “Just to see what would happen, I get bored,” he said. “When there’s a hornet’s nest buzzing, I’ve got to poke it. I like violence. I like danger. I live life to feel alive.”

Such was Ambrose’s unpredictability that he was not permitted to compete after NXT moved to Full Sail University. But true to form, he would not be held down from spreading his own personal brand of chaos to WWE. Along with NXT Champion Seth Rollins and the towering Roman Reigns, Ambrose made his most dangerous movement yet when the threesome attacked Ryback at Survivor Series 2012, driving the beast through a table and repeating the feat the next night on Raw. Ambrose led the charge, wildly hurling his body into Ryback and initiating the brutal beatdown perpetuated by his comrades.

The trio took up the name of “The Shield” — black-clad advocates of justice in a WWE they believed had lost its way — with Ambrose seemingly serving as the group’s sneering mouthpiece in their sit-down interview with Michael Cole. On the Nov. 26 edition of Raw, the group attacked both Ryback and WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No, leaving their formidable competitors strewn in a heap while The Shield stood tall, looming over their new domain.

It would appear, given all of this, nothing has changed. Dean Ambrose has poked the hornet’s nest and sent a message. What the goals of The Shield are, exactly, remains to be seen, but as always with Ambrose, it will be a revelation worth waiting for.
