Coming off of their massive win at Elimination Chamber last night, defeating the trio of all stars John Cena, Sheamus and Ryback – there was bound to be some hurt feelings tonight. Sure enough we’re taken backstage to find Sheamus in the midst of an interview regarding the humiliating loss, when he’s interrupted by a steaming mad Ryback. Sheamus calls Ryback a mindless neanderthal (couldn’t agree more) and things are about to kick off between the two one time allies, before Chris Jericho appears on scene! Jericho has obviously been taking lessons from Doctor Shelby because he managed to turn Sheamus and Ryback’s frowns upside down, rallying their angers back around to The Shield instead of each other. Jericho says that everyone’s on edge with the Shield around and it’s time to put a stop to them. Vickie Guerrero grants another 6 way tag team match with Jericho taking Cena’s place this night. Ryback snarls in Sheamus’ face “Feed – Me – Shield”. Obviously Rybacks taken one too many knocks to the head, because every time he faces The Shield, he chokes on them.

As the match came around Team Jericho started out strong with Ryback assaulting Rollins in the corner with repeated brutal shoulders, which Jericho quickly puts an end to, reminding Ryback they don’t want to get DQ’d. staff came unglued as Jericho got in the ring against Ambrose and our fan dreams came true. The Shield continued to be overwhelmed by Jericho, Sheamus and Ryback and it looked for a time like they might finally be knocked off their pedestal. However, shortly after Sheamus Brogue kicked Ambrose off the apron (and he sold it like a champion!).. The Shield took control back. Returning from a commercial break our favorite trio regrouped and proceeded to pick apart the opposition with their frantic style. In a showdown between Ambrose and Jericho, Jericho was able to lock in the Walls of Jericho but Ambrose refused to tap (He was in CZW, you’ll have to feed him glass and boiling lava to get him to tap out). With Roman distracting Sheamus and taking out Ryback, Rollins took to the air with a dive on Jericho, leaving Ambrose to make the pin and pick up the win for Team Shield.

Their debut match on RAW and another tick in the victory column. Who’s next?

It was the match nobody thought they could win, the cocky, brash young rookies Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns having torn a vicious path through the WWE since their debut last November, were apparently set up to lose tonight as they went up against the power trio of John Cena, Sheamus and Ryback. Ever since the match was announced the naysayers have been shouting from the rooftops that The Shield stand no chance against the WWE’s top good guys in a fair fight. Well how does it feel to eat crow?

The Shield came in to the match as bold and confident as ever and while Team Cena made the first strike, attacking before the bell rang and hitting all three with vertical suplex’s in the center of the ring. The Shield went on to dominate. Ambrose started out against Sheamus and while Sheamus initially got the upper hand (and temporarily stripped Ambrose of his shirt, one for the ladies!) pretty soon the cohesive unit of The Shield began to show it’s superiority. There’s something to be said for coming up through the ranks together, traveling and working together daily. Maybe Team Cena could learn something from that next time they put a team together (Oh yeah, I’m cocky too tonight, deal with it!).

Using fast tags they soon isolated Cena and began to break him down. Sneak tactics and perfect unity dominated the match until eventually, after Ambrose hit Cena with a brutal looking DDT, Cena managed to kick out and this drove Ambrose in to something of a fury fit. As he went to attack Cena again, Cena tossed him over the top rope and took his chance, making the tag to Ryback… well, I suppose it had to happen eventually. Ryback stomped around, almost broke Dean’s neck, botched some stuff and it all spilled to the outside. Where Roman annihilated Sheamus spearing him through the barrier. Back in the ring, Cena hit Ambrose with the AA as Ryback attempted to hit the Shell Shock on Seth. But Roman made the save, spearing Ryback, Seth fell on top of him in a pin position and the ref made the count! Team Cena.. defeated.

Ha… ha… HA! So like I said, naysayers, how’s that crow taste? Would you like some salt? Some cheese with your whine? The Shield are here to stay, they’re just getting started.

After last weeks organized assault against the Shield by Cena, Ryback and Sheamus, The Shield walked in to RAW this week defiant and unafraid to stand in the center of the ring in front of everybody and call out their attackers. Hell, call out the entire locker room. Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns came to the ring and requested mics and proceeded to lay the verbal smackdown on their Elimination Chamber opponents. Focusing mainly on John Cena (because Ryback is utterly insignificant to the world in general and Sheamus.. well who even cares?) Ambrose proceeded to verbalize on TV some of the things a lot of us have been thinking for a very long time. That Cena walks around in his own smiley little untouchable bubble without ever facing a single consequence. It’s time to put an end to that, and time for Cena to find out theres more to wrestling than shaking childrens hands and performing the dreaded five moves of doom.

Ambrose went on to say that whatever happens at the Chamber, he, Rollins and Reigns will walk out of there together. While Cena, Ryback and Sheamus might not walk out at all. So they’d better breathe all the fresh air they can now, on Sunday, The Shield is going to drown them. Worlds first ever swimming pool match? Or just clever figurative speaking?

The Shield then dared anyone from the locker room to come out and face them, to seemingly no response. Until the lights went out (someone fire the electrician). When they came back up again, Cena, Sheamus and Ryback were int he ring and the brawl was on. Much like last week they got the upper hand and Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns retreated out of the ring. However the Goodie Two Shoes trio chased after them, attacking them through the crowd. The Shield finally managed a retreat, leaving Team Cena standing triumphant.. for now.

“Finally The Shield faces a Fair Fight” …. Evidently someone forgot to show John Cena the tape of TLC!

Early in the night a promo package for The Shield is aired detailing their path of destruction, which is followed up by John Cena backstage speaking with Vickie Guerrero about the fact that he’s sick of The Shield and it’s time someone taught them a little something about Justice. Vickie of course laughs in his face, who wouldn’t. One guy is going to teach three about Justice? We then had to endure a three hour wait for the finale segment of the night in which Cena boasted that he was going to go out to the ring and bring Justice to The Shield. Instead we found Brad Maddox, who declared himself the hero of the piece for outing Paul Heyman and his alliance with Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns.

He declared himself to be a wronged man and therefor it was him and not Cena that was going to call out The Shield. With Maddox’s stupidity leak underway, he did indeed call them out and they responded quickly, this time with Mic’s in their hands. Oh yeah, someone finally gave Ambrose a live mic! He strolled down the stairs alongside Rollins and declared Maddox to be a weak little rat of a man that didn’t know a thing about Justice. Rollins took over and informed Maddox he was about to pay for what he’d done. The Shield surrounded the ring and with one last ominous threat from Ambrose, they attacked. Assaulting Maddox and hitting him with the Triple Powerbomb, they once again stood tall. However, Cena’s music put paid to their party and all eyes turned to the ramp. Only Cena was nowhere to be found. Instead, The Shield spotted him coming down the steps! Quickly followed by Ryback and then Sheamus, surrounding the ring. Gimmick Infringement!!

Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns stood their ground as the three jumped the barrier and circled them. Roman decided retreat was the best course of action and all three left the ring, only for half the locker room to emerge on the ramp. Stopping them from leaving. With no choice but to go back to the ring, The Shield went back to back and Ryback, Cena and Sheamus attacked. While Jerry Lawler screamed about revenge, we scream.. eh.. not so much. Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns took their beating, dished some back and then retreated through the crowd. Leaving RAW to go off air.

Cena however, once off air, took to the mic to inform everybody that at the Elimination Chamber PPV, there would be a 6 man tag. Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns Vs John Cena, Ryback and Sheamus. Oh yeah, bring on the carnage.

After the shocking events of Monday night we were left wondering about The Shields motivations and weather or not they were operating under the control of Paul Heyman. A theory I’m loathe to get on board with as if you listen to Heyman’s wording, he simply paid them to do some ‘jobs’ for him. Like hired Mercenaries. Smackdown went on to further prove this theory because as far as we know, Heyman has no issue with Sheamus. The Shields vendetta against him however continues as they attack him in the midst of a match against Damien Sandow, but this time theres nobody running to the aid of the ‘Great White’.. no Orton, no Ryback. Are they scared? We like to think so.

Ambrose, Rollins & Reigns delivered another of their ‘in cold blood’ beatdowns and despite Rollins eating a facefull of boot and having to be helped out of the ring by his partners, The Shield ultimately left The Great White well and truly beached.

My jokes are getting worse.

In the wake of the Royal Rumble debacle, it seems like The Shield have something to prove tonight on RAW as they stormed in on a celebrating John Cena and quickly picked him apart only for Sheamus to attempt a rescue. This was unsuccessful however and Sheamus was also put down by the angered trio. Ryback was last out to an equally flaccid attempt at subduing Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns. While Ryback tossed both Seth and Dean over the ropes, Reigns was ready for him. Shoving him against the ropes Ambrose and Rollins were able to grab his ankles and yank him out of the ring, quickly sending him crashing into the steel steps.

Sheamus attempted another assault but was sent smashing in to the ring post, knocking him loopy. The Shield got back inside the ring to gloat over their handiwork, only for Cena to resurrect and jump on them. Ambrose however saw it coming and quickly took his legs out. Before you could say ‘last night was a travesty’ Cena was lifted into the Triple Powerbomb and put out of our misery.

The Shield left through the crowd like men on a mission, but I doubt any of this will just ‘stay in Vegas’.. harr, see what I did there?

Later on in the night as Paul Heyman underwent his ‘Performance Review’ at the hand of Vince McMahon, Heyman continued to deny his involvement with The Shield. Vince however, had some rather damning video evidence to show off. Cutting to some taped footage of Heyman with Brad Maddox in some dark back alley somewhere. Heyman proceeded to tell Maddox he’d failed to do the job he was hired to do and they were tired of him repeatedly coming back for more. He went on to say that he and Punk also paid The Shield for their services, and paid them much more. But then The Shield are far more effective at what they do. At this point, Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns emerged from the shadows and surrounded Maddox who promptly began to plead for his life. Heyman simply patted on him the head and told him to think of it as a learning experience. He then left Maddox to his fate and The Shield attacked, viciously assaulting Maddox and taking the camera offline.

So what of Heyman? The Shields employer was on the verge of getting fired by McMahon, when who should show up but Brock Lesnar. Hitting the Chairman with an F5.. it seems Heyman’s assembled a wrecking crew.

After Vince McMahon declared on RAW that CM Punk would be stripped of the title if The Shield interfered in his match against The Rock at the Royal Rumble, Punk took it upon himself to come to Smackdown and call out the Justice serving trio. Not the wisest of moves you might think, but then again if The Shield are working to aid CM Punk then they’re not going to attack him, are they? Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns respond to the call out, they’re not the types to shy away from a confrontation after all. Heading down to the ring and surrounding it in their attack dog fashion. Punk – wielding a chair – proceeds to tell them he doesn’t want or need their help, that he’s never asked for it and that if they’re at all interested in Justice, they’ll stay out of his match on Sunday. If they were to interfere, it would be the biggest injustice of all time.

While the Trio don’t look especially impressed with the request, it’s eventually Ambrose to tell the other two to back off. There’s no indication they’ve conceded to Punk’s wishes however, but it seems like they may do as he asks. I suppose that remains to be seen.

So what involvement will The Shield have at the Royal Rumble? Will they bow to Punk’s request and stay out of it? They’ve preached before that unworthy competitors trying to take Punk’s title is an injustice and that’s why they’ve helped him before, so surely they wont want to risk costing it for him against a ‘Part Timer’ like The Rock. Then again, there could be far deeper motives here, we just don’t know what The Shield are thinking. Could they have other plans in mind, some great ‘Justice’ to serve. Are they as tired of CM Punk’s preaching as many others are? But why would they want the title on The Rock? So many questions! Cant wait for the answers.
