It’s a busy busy Christmas eve and I’ve been stuck wrapping gifts and making food, so heres a quick WWE.com rundown of events! Happy Christmas!

If anyone can break The Shield, it’s two strongmen and The Best in the World. Yet, while the all-star trio of John Cena, CM Punk & Big E Langston didn’t hand The Hounds of Justice a Christmas loss per se — The Shield are still too tough to take out quite so easily — they left the men in black frostbit all the same. It was momentarily touch-and-go for Cena & Co. after strong start by the Cenation leader was undone by Roman Reigns, who initiated the numbers game against the 11-time WWE Champion. Punk similarly struggled with The Hounds’ strategy, and the X-factor turned out to ultimately be Big E.

Summoned by Punk when all seemed lost, Langston thundered through the ranks of The Shield and — with assistance from his teammates — struck United States Champion Dean Ambrose with the Big Ending, but The Hounds swarmed the three-count and stopped the bout via disqualifcation. The three villains set Langston up for a Triple Powerbomb that would send him to the South Pole, yet Cena and Punk were having none of it, dragging Reigns through the ropes and capitalizing on a Langston double-clothesline to Ambrose & Rollins with an Attitude Adjustment-Go to Sleep combo to end the holiday season on a high note.

And hey, Santa didn’t get run over this year. It truly is a Christmas miracle.

After the disaster that was TLC, there was much speculation that The Shield would not be on the same page for Monday Night RAW. Many expected the much talked about ‘cracks’ to be showing in full force, with blame being hurled left and right. But that wasn’t to be the case, instead The Shield walked in to battle against CM Punk and The Usos once again a united front. Well accidents happen, don’t they. Brothers forgive each other and they move on.

That being said, they were determined not to pick up another loss to Punk and went to war, dominating The Usos throughout the match and once again on the same page. A hot tag to Punk upped the ante and Ambrose once again found himself on the receiving end of Punks whirlwind offense, but this time Roman saved the day and broke up a pin attempt. The Usos attempted to take Roman out and the action spilled to the outside while Ambrose fought it out with Punk, a blind tag to Roman was Punk’s undoing as he hit Ambrose with the GTS but didn’t see the deadly spear coming. Roman picking up the win for the team. The Shield leaving once again united.. and a bit bruised and bloody.

The Shield stunned the world tonight but not with Slammy wins or in ring action, but instead by coming out to present a Slammy award… in suits. The internet exploded and I have no idea who won. Ambrose however declared that yes, he looked good, and proceeded to talk over Roman as he tried to present the award. Another not so happy look from his Shield brothers. It was also announced that Ambrose would get another shot at CM Punk later in the night.

Fast Forward to the match of the night and Rollins and Reigns accompanied Ambrose to the ring – an unusual occurrence in Deans singles matches – but Dean did tell them that he could handle it by himself and they weren’t to get involved. Ambrose got in the ring and quickly took it to CM Punk, the pair evenly matched and seemingly knowing one another well already, it seemed to be a stalemate until Ambrose targeted Punk’s injured ribs. Once he had that locked, it was all Ambrose. Dominating Punk and relentlessly assaulting his damaged midsection, however Punk refused to stay down, kicking out of all pin attempts and fighting back desperately where he could. Earning themselves ‘This is Awesome’ chants from the crowd in the process after several last second kick outs. So much so, Ambrose needed a breather, tossing Punk to the outside and distracting the referee so that Rollins and Reigns could put the finish on Punk.

But they did nothing, instead they stood and watched. Ambrose joined them on the outside and got in Rollins face, asking him what the hell he was doing and why he wasn’t helping. He turned to come face to face with Reigns who informs him he wanted to do it by himself. Dean yells at his Shield cohorts, telling them fine, if thats how they wanted to be he could handle it and they should just leave. Rollins and Reigns dismiss him and stalk away as Ambrose gets back in the ring, walking straight in to a roundhouse kick from Punk! Ambrose kicks out of the pin though and is lifted by Punk to a GTS, but Ambrose wriggles out again as Rollins and Reigns head up the ramp. Ambrose goes for his Headlock Driver but Punk pushes out of it and catches him in the GTS, this time he hits it and its Goodnight Sweet Prince. Punk picking up the win – oh dear.

Rollins and Reigns return to the ring and while Rollins drags Ambrose from it, Reigns spears Punk in half. The Shield leaving as a trio, but clearly cracked.

Should be back to my home made write ups next week, that dark real life getting in the way! In the mean time, heres a shiny WWE.com write up for you.

It may have been a while since CM Punk dropped a pipe bomb, but that doesn’t mean the scruffy savior of The Second City has lost his particular touch for poking the corporate hornet’s nest. In fact, Punk arrived in the Boomer Sooner State with a proverbial bang in the form of a verbal assault on The Authority for their supposed involvement in The Shield’s attack the previous week (retribution, Punk said, for his off-the-cuff insult toward Triple H). While Stephanie McMahon and Kane took issue with the accusation that they had ordered such a strike, they did come up with an on-the-spot ruling in the name of business when The Hounds of Justice emerged – to the apparent surprise of everyone – for yet another go at the former WWE Champion: A 3-on-1 Handicap Match between Punk and The Shield at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs.

The Shield made their first statement before facing CM Punk at WWE TLC, knocking off The Rhodes Brothers & Big Show in a tremendous Six-Man Tag Match on Raw, though the win was hard-fought by any measure. The Hounds found themselves in the doghouse early on thanks to a tremendous start from Big Show; it took an impeccably-timed strike to Cody Rhodes’ arm by Dean Ambrose to give The Shield their first advantage of the bout.

With Cody one-armed and isolated, The Shield gained control until Show tagged back in, though The Shield’s teamwork instinct kicked in and Ambrose stopped the giant short by sending him over the top rope, making Show the second victim of the numbers game. A chokeslam to Roman Reigns opened the door for Goldust, but The Bizarre One’s innovative attempt to superplex an interfering Ambrose onto a prone Seth Rollins backfired when Rollins – the legal man – dodged the move and rolled up Goldust for the win.

A rare WWE.com Review for you lovely folks today as I’m not feeling too well, sorry about that!

The Shield marked their one-year anniversary in high style with Roman Reigns becoming the Sole Survivor of the fall classic’s traditional contest, and now their dominance extends to a year and a day at the expense of Rey Mysterio & The Rhodes Brothers. The three fan favorites were clearly hungry for redemption, though The Shield weren’t about to let them get it so easily, mobbing Rey & Cody right off the bat and swarming the lone Goldust.

The Hounds of Justice mauled the former Intercontinental Champion until he reached Rey Mysterio, who subdued Seth Rollins long enough for Cody to take over. Rollins’ teammates rushed the ring at the perfect moment to send the match spiraling into chaos, and the confusion proved to be too much to overcome. After Reigns speared Goldust & Mysterio into Tuesday, Ambrose took advantage of Cody’s preoccupation with Rollins to seal the match with a headlock driver.

The night wasn’t quite over, though, as The Wyatts laid waste to Punk and hauled a beaten Bryan off to parts unknown. The Straight Edge Superstar gave chase but didn’t get far before Roman Reigns trucked him with a massive spear, following up with a Triple Powerbomb from the aid of his fellow Shield-mates that left Punk down for the count and then some.

Early in the night we found The Shield watching as Big E Langston won the Intercontinental Championship with Curtis Axel, leading Randy Orton to asking the trio if they were going to be there for him in his match at Survivor Series. The normally vocal Ambrose has nothing but a raised eyebrow for Orton, but its Roman to confirm that if thats what management wants, that’s what they’d get. An uneasy tension between the group and Orton for sure.

The shows Main Event rolls around to an awesome 12 Man Tag Team match pitting The Shield and The Wyatt family against the team of Punk, Daniel Bryan, Goldust, Cody Rhodes and The Usos. A match up many of us would have paid a ton of money for on Pay Per View, but they’re giving it to us for free. Oh well, we’ll take it! The other team seems to be on the same page but as The Shield and The Wyatts come face to face the battle of the egos commences. Ambrose glibly informs them he’s going to start things out and turns his back on them, getting in to the ring and leaving Rollins and Reigns to debate with Bray over the proceedings. Eventually they get started though and Ambrose kicks off the proceedings against one of The Usos. The match an action packed showdown between both sides but not without it’s issues, as Luke Harper tags himself in with a slap to Rollins’ back, Seth takes exception to this on the outside and soon The Shield and The Wyatts are face to face again and threatening to explode. Oddly enough, it’s Bray that’s the voice of reason and gets everybody back on the same page.

The tags between the Wyatts and The Shield become more intense than the battle with their opponents, with Ambrose receiving a tag so hard he has to shake off his hand. At another point, he slaps Harpers back and has to run for it after making the tag. Oh the drama! Eventually though, things come down to Ambrose and Punk and the pair exchange finishing moves, Punk kicking out of Ambrose’s headlock driver, Reigns breaks up a pin and mayhem ensues with everybody getting a chance to hit their finishers and the Usos taking to the air to take out The Wyatts. Eventually, Punk hits Ambrose with the GTS in the middle of a cleared out ring and takes home the victory. The Shield quickly vacating as the others dissolve in to a brawl.

Oh and Rey Mysterio returned, but The Shield don’t care much about midgets.

RAW Returns to the UK and The Shield are making a habit of making an impact over here in my homeland. Tonight they neglect to aid Randy Orton in a handicap match at the start of the show in which the Champ suffers at the hands of Goldust and Cody Rhodes. When Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns pay him a visit later on in the evening Randy is none to happy, mouthing off at the trio and demanding to know where they were and why they didn’t help him. Thats when Ambrose and co decide to remind Randy they don’t work for Kane, or Vickie, or Maddox – the people in charge tonight – and they sure as hell don’t work for Randy Orton. While the bosses are away, it appears The Shield don’t play.

It’s announced that CM Punk and Daniel Bryan will team together in the main event in a handicap match against The Shield – Ambrose stepping in the ring against CM Punk is something the fans have longed for on TV since their house show bout back in FCW. Needless to say the rest of the night can’t move fast enough! The main event rolls around and we’re in heaven as Punk and Ambrose start things out. Punk taunting Ambrose as a ‘rookie’ but he quickly learns Dean isn’t one to be underestimated. Dean taking the fight to Punk in return although the veteran soon hauls Dean to his corner for a tag in to Bryan. A quick double team and Ambrose is looking for an out. Pretty soon the numbers game plays in The Shields advantage, isolating Daniel Bryan and working him over with their trademark fast tags back and forth. But Reigns makes the mistake of taunting a little too much and soon the goats on a rampage. Things breaking down and leaving Ambrose in the ring with Punk to take his trademark elbow, Punk makes a pin but the match is saved by Rollins. Daniel bryan quickly takes out Rollins and Reigns and Ambrose attempts a strike on Punk but its a swing and a miss and Ambrose is caught up in the deadly Anaconda Vice. He’s about to tap when the freakish chords of the Wyatt Families theme ring out, plunging the arena in to darkness.

When the lights come up Harper and Rowan stand across from Ambrose and Rollins, Rollins helping Dean to his feet, the two deadly factions coming face to face for the first time and the crowd coming unglued. Ambrose is furious, who the hell do they think they are? The two pairs getting in one anothers faces, Ambrose and Rollins warning them to get out of their ring while Reigns on the outside confronts Bray. There’s a sudden explosion as the two factions attack, The Shield and the Wyatts going toe to toe until Bray suddenly calls a truce, holding his men back and bellowing at The Shield to remember who the enemy is.

Six pairs of eyes turn to CM Punk and Daniel Bryan on the outside. The Shield and The Wyatts united, they bolt after the two fan favorites and surround them, launching an attack that’s only saved by The Usos, Goldust and Cody Rhodes! The Shield and The Wyatts beat an angry retreat as the good guys clear house. Oh, this is going to be good.

After almost 3 hours of a Shieldless RAW we were beginning to think the Hounds of Justice were too grumpy with each other to make an appearance for the night, but the Corporate bigwigs weren’t going to let us down as Triple H and Stephanie called the fired Big Show to the ring to re-negotiate and give him his job back to save them from a damaging lawsuit. Triple H and Stephanie had their backs to the wall as the board of directors demanded they appease Show, which led Big Show to some outrageous demands, including a WWE Title shot. Injustice, nobody want’s to sit through a Big Show main event title match – Cue, The Shield.

United once again, Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns head down to the ring to get in the Bosses corner as Triple H kindly points out now that Big Show is rehired, he needs to be in a match. A handicap match, against all three members of The Shield AND Randy Orton. That’s fair, the guys large. Ambrose attacks first and the vicious assault on Big Show begins, however the Giant holds his own and seems to get the better of all four men, cornering Randy when the deafening boom of Kane’s pyro erupts. The Big Red Monster emerging.. in a business suit? The worlds gone topsy turvy, they’re even selling Shield Pony’s on WWE shop.

With Show distracted, Ambrose attacks again and soon the foursome are battering the big man with chairs handed to them by Corporate Kane. Triple H and Stephanie hand out Orders and The Shield drag Big Show out to the announce table for a patented Triple Powerbomb. With Big Show down amidst the wreckage of the table, Ambrose, Rollins, Reigns, Randy, Triple H, Stephanie and Kane welcome the Giant back to the fold. Should have stayed gone.

After an eventful night at Hell In A Cell in which Rollins and Reigns failed to recapture the Tag Team Championships and Ambrose retained his but only via a count out when he walked out on the match, Dean finds himself thrown in to a rematch against Big E Langston. Something we find out about via promo early on in RAW. A promo in which Dean drums in the fact that he is the only title holder in The Shield being as Rollins and Reigns failed to reclaim the Tag Team Championships.

Crickets.

Dean may have just put his foot in it as far as his partners go, the looks on Rollins and Reigns’ faces less than pleased with the implication they couldn’t get the job done. But Ambrose insisted The Shield remained unbreakable and despite a glare from his cohorts, Reigns repeated the mantra. Believe In The Shield.

Rollins and Reigns went on to accompany Dean to ringside for his match and paced the outside as Dean and Langston tied up, Ambrose holding his own against the ‘rookie’ but it once again seemed like Langstons power might be getting the better of him, that is until Roman pulled down the top rope as Langston ran it and sent Big E tumbling to the outside. Rollins and Reigns quickly pounced on the challenger and Ambrose was disqualified, keeping the United States Championship safe inside The Shield for now. However General Manager Brad Maddox wasn’t happy about this and quickly scheduled a 6 Man Tag as The Usos ran to Langstons aid.

It was a relatively short match as their usual 6 man turmoils go, with The Usos and Langston putting up a good fight against The Shield, however things swiftly broke down as they tend to do and with Ambrose and Rollins out on the outside, Roman speared the life out of both Usos and made the pin to get the win for the team. Ambrose and Rollins joined him, Ambrose holding his title belt triumphantly in the air. The interesting point here was not the victory – it was the way Roman and Seth looked at him as he gloated proudly with his belt. I sense a little jealousy, boys? Don’t have sour grapes now, you can’t all be the best.

In the go home RAW before Hell in a Cell Triple H decides to make Daniel Bryan’s night a difficult one and pit him against the United States Champion himself to open the show. Ambrose arriving to the ring tonight accompanied by Rollins and Reigns, though somehow it still looks a little like theres trouble in Shield paradise – maybe it’s just me. His team mates leave him to face Bryan alone in what is an action packed opening bout. Ambrose and Bryan know each other back to front and inside out by now which is what makes their matches so exciting as literally anything can happen at any time. Ambrose takes control of a good portion of the match up with some typically underhanded tactics including some nasty pokes to the eyes, he eventually takes Bryan down to the mat and slows him down with his series of head and arm locks. Eventually though Bryan battles his way out and the tempo picks back up again as the pair go toe to toe. Ambrose eventually tossed over the ropes to the outside where he takes a nasty spill on his knee but recovers quickly, heading back in to the ring the final exchange leads to Ambrose attempting a sneaky rollup, only to be pulled around in to the Yes/No lock! With no help on hand and no ropes anywhere close, Ambrose has no choice but to tap.

Can’t win em all, Champ. But what will the fellow Hounds think?

Later on in the night Ambrose accompanied Rollins & Reigns to their match against The Usos for Tag Team Championship #1 contendership. Cody Rhodes and Goldust were ringside on commentary and while war waged in the ring, Ambrose taunted the new champions constantly. Things breaking down as Dean got in Cody’s face and knocked the headset off of his head, the brawl breaking out and mayhem ensuing as it so often does around The Shield. The eventual meltdown led to a double disqualification as all three teams brawled, The Shield eventually fleeing up through the crowd. Vickie Guerrero went on to announce there would be a Triple Threat tag match at Hell in a Cell for the straps. We can only assume Dean will be ringside.
