In the go home RAW before Hell in a Cell Triple H decides to make Daniel Bryan’s night a difficult one and pit him against the United States Champion himself to open the show. Ambrose arriving to the ring tonight accompanied by Rollins and Reigns, though somehow it still looks a little like theres trouble in Shield paradise – maybe it’s just me. His team mates leave him to face Bryan alone in what is an action packed opening bout. Ambrose and Bryan know each other back to front and inside out by now which is what makes their matches so exciting as literally anything can happen at any time. Ambrose takes control of a good portion of the match up with some typically underhanded tactics including some nasty pokes to the eyes, he eventually takes Bryan down to the mat and slows him down with his series of head and arm locks. Eventually though Bryan battles his way out and the tempo picks back up again as the pair go toe to toe. Ambrose eventually tossed over the ropes to the outside where he takes a nasty spill on his knee but recovers quickly, heading back in to the ring the final exchange leads to Ambrose attempting a sneaky rollup, only to be pulled around in to the Yes/No lock! With no help on hand and no ropes anywhere close, Ambrose has no choice but to tap.

Can’t win em all, Champ. But what will the fellow Hounds think?

Later on in the night Ambrose accompanied Rollins & Reigns to their match against The Usos for Tag Team Championship #1 contendership. Cody Rhodes and Goldust were ringside on commentary and while war waged in the ring, Ambrose taunted the new champions constantly. Things breaking down as Dean got in Cody’s face and knocked the headset off of his head, the brawl breaking out and mayhem ensuing as it so often does around The Shield. The eventual meltdown led to a double disqualification as all three teams brawled, The Shield eventually fleeing up through the crowd. Vickie Guerrero went on to announce there would be a Triple Threat tag match at Hell in a Cell for the straps. We can only assume Dean will be ringside.

It’s announced early in the night on RAW that Rollins and Reigns would be defending their Tag Team Championships against Cody Rhodes and Goldust in the shows main event. Later on in the night we’re taken to backstage to find The Shield in strategy talks over their match, only to be confronted by Stephanie and Triple H who inform them the match will be no disqualification – it’s time to get the job done without any excuses. Ambrose, Reigns and Rollins laugh this off, they got this one in the bag. Or do they?

The match is fast paced and vicious from the outset and despite the odd small interjection by Ambrose, for the most part he keeps to himself on the outside and just cheers on his partners. His faith in the team showing through. Rollins and Reigns isolate Cody and toy with him in their corner but eventually Cody is able to make a flying leap to his brother and get the tag. Goldust comes in all guns blazing and proves to be more than Rollins and Reigns bargained for, until a well timed dodge from Rollins sends Goldust crashing to the outside. Ambrose stands over him and taunts before Cody comes to his aid and the show heads to a commercial. Back from that and The Shield once again have control of Goldust, but things soon begin to break down as tempers flare after numerous near falls.

Pure mayhem ensues as Cody and Rollins fight on the outside and Ambrose brawls with Goldust, eventually finding himself tossed to the outside, Reigns goes after Goldust again and things collapse to the outside. Ambrose draws Goldusts attention and with him distracted, Reigns charges and spears him through the barricade! It looks like it’s game over for the Rhodes boys until the sudden arrival of the fired Big Show through the crowd! Ambrose grabs a chair and attempts to stave off the giant but finds himself knocked out. Rollins flies over the ropes and straight in to a KO punch. Reigns in the ring dodges a kick from Cody but ends up with Big Shows fist in his face also! Staggering back, reigns flops to the mat unconscious and Cody makes the pin. New Tag Team Champions.

The Shield taste their bitterest defeat yet as Big Show bolts through the crowd and Triple H storms down to the ring, furious. With Ambrose defending his title on Wednesday, will he suffer the same fate? Dark times for the Hounds of Justice indeed.

Another RAW and another 6 Man Tag match for The Shield and coming in off of their loss at Battleground, they get a chance at redemption as they go up against Goldust, Cody Rhodes and Daniel Bryan in the shows Main Event (and man that’s a long time to wait!). Of course, Triple H is on hand to make sure things go according to ‘whats best for business’ and he plants himself at ringside as things get underway. Rollins starting things out against Goldust, he mocks the Bizarre One and earns himself a swift slap in the face. Goldust taking it to Rollins and perhaps catching him off guard! Rollins makes a swift escape and hands the reins over to Ambrose who ends up going toe to toe with Cody Rhodes. The pair a good match for one another neither gets the upper hand until Cody goes for a moonsault from the top turnbuckle and a playing possum Ambrose leaps to his feet and shoves him from them to the outside.

This swings the momentum in The Shields favor and it’s eventually down to Daniel Bryan to try and save the day for the so called good guys. With Goldust and Cody taking out Ambrose and Reigns, Rollins finds himself twisted up in the No/Yes/Whatever lock and on the verge of tapping when Ambrose bolts in to the ring to break things up with a chair. The referee instantly disqualifies him and the other team are about to be handed the win when Triple H interrupts, saying it’s not going to end like that, re-start the match.

However as things get underway once more, the sudden intervention of Randy Orton hitting Daniel Bryan with an RKO from out of nowhere, leaves Rollins to pick up the pieces and pick up the win for The Shield. With the men in black celebrating victory, Triple H gives the nod for them to destroy their opponents. The pack of dogs picking apart Bryan, Cody and Goldust when they’re interrupted by the Big Show – who was fired earlier in the evening by Stephanie McMahon! Triple H takes refuge behind The Shield and Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns attack the Giant to little avail, almost subduing him, Triple H orders them to finish him but instead Big Show tosses Ambrose and co aside, and knocks out the CEO!

Uh oh.

After the Rhodes brothers attacked The Shield last week on RAW, retribution was definitely on the cards. As Dusty, Cody and Goldust gathered in the ring to hear what Triple H and Stephanie McMahon had to say, a match was laid out for Battleground. If Goldust and Cody could defeat Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns at the Pay Per View, they could have their jobs back! A lofty task as The Shield remain undefeated at Pay Per View events. The Rhodes were left to think about this as Triple H and Stephanie cleared out of the ring, but as they went to leave themselves, The Shield struck. Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns assaulting the legend Dusty Rhodes and his two sons viciously, eventually hitting Cody with the Triple Powerbomb and taunting Dusty.

Later on in the night the trio marched in to battle against Dolph Ziggler and The Usos in another 6 Man Tag, a fast paced match from the outset that saw most of Dean’s action take place in the commercial (you can view the video in an earlier post!). Dean and Ziggler started things out, the grudge still strong between them as Ambrose took control early on, but Ziggler fought back, pummeling Ambrose’ face with fists and sending him in to a retreat. Rollins tagged in sent Ziggler running for help and an Uso was thrown in to the mix, The Shield went on to isolate Jimmy Uso in their usual fashion, the pack of dogs seemed to have it in the bag until an eventual out of nowhere backdrop to Rollins gave Jimmy the chance to make the tag to Ziggler. Ziggler itching to get his hands on Ambrose tore in like a wild thing and took it to Ambrose, eventually hitting him with the Famouser and coming so close to a three count only for Reigns to save it. Mayhem broke out and after Ziggler hit Rollins with a Zig Zag, Roman Reigns speared Ziggler out of his boots, giving The Shield yet another win in their log book.

The Shield started out RAW once again the guardians to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon as they held court in the ring and informed the locker room that their complaints had been heard and tonight they’d get a chance to take out their grievances.. on The Shield. Wait, excuse you? A very confused and surprised looking Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns stare back at their employers as they’re informed they will be taking on 11 Superstars in an elimination tag match in tonights main event. Stars including Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, R Truth, Zack Ryder (lol), RVD, Justin Gabriel, The Usos and the Prime Time Players! Now that’s an injustice. However, The Shield aren’t ones to complain and while it seems like their bosses have thrown them under bus, they have a job to do and they’ll do it. Leading us to Ambrose and co responding with this promo. The Shield are used to adversity, why do you think they started the group in the first place?

Heading in to the Main Event, Daniel Bryan first addresses the crowd before he’s interrupted by the boys in black heading down to the ring. But no sooner do they jump the barricade they’re assaulted by two men! Hmm we’ve seen that playbook somewhere before. The assailants are dragged off of Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns and revealed to be Cody and Dustin Rhodes! It seems a little payback was wanted for The Shield helping to corner and knock out their Father Dusty last week.

But it just made The Shield angry. Heading in to the match it seemed the odds were utterly stacked against The Shield, but they went at it hell for leather as usual. Ambrose eventually managing to eliminate both RVD and Kofi Kingston (bye!), Reigns took care of three all by himself in a series of brutal Spears before The Shield took their first hit, Reigns eliminated by The Usos. Ambrose and Rollins looked stunned as the muscle of the group picked up his first loss in the WWE, but they had a job to do, quickly regrouping and taking out a handful more before Ambrose took the brunt of a Ziggler Zig Zag and was the second member of The Shield eliminated, leaving Rollins all alone against Ziggler, The Usos and Daniel Bryan.

Despite a valiant effort, Rollins was unable to beat the odds and although Ambrose and Reigns attempted to help him, they were seen off by The Usos and Rollins took a knee to the face from Bryan. The Shield lose.

It’s not wise to throw a hell hound under a bus, they don’t die and they just come back deadlier. Bad move, HHH.

After successfully defending the United States Championship last night at Night of Champions, Dean Ambrose once again steps in to the ring with Ziggler for a non title re-match and completes a trinity of matches against the Showoff. After getting off to a faltering start with their first match on Smackdown, the pair have forged a fantastic chemistry with each other and this RAW outing was their best so far. Evenly matched in skill, height and weight they counter one another effortlessly and neither holds an advantage for long, going back and forth and pulling out all the stops in their arsenals to try and get the win.

Eventually Ambrose yanks Ziggler from the turnbuckles and sets him up for his Headlock Driver, only for Ziggler to battle his way out of the hold and hit his Zig Zag finisher from out of nowhere! Making a pin on the United States Champion and shockingly getting the win!

Fluke! Fast Count! Shenanigans! But at least it wasn’t for the gold. However it seems the war between Ambrose and Ziggler is far from over, and thats just fine with us!

Later on in the night as Stephanie McMahon taunted legend Dusty Rhodes, she called out The Shield to teach him a lesson. As Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns circled the ring she had a further burst of inspiration and called out Big Show, giving him an ultimatum. Knock out Dusty, or The Shield will tear him apart. Ambrose and co fetched chairs and threatened to annihilate the American Dream if Big Show didn’t do as asked. The sobbing Giant eventually gave in to Stephanies threats and knocked out Dusty. Stephanie left with her Hounds of Justice close behind.

The Main Event rolled around and saw Ambrose and Rollins accompany Reigns to the ring to face Daniel Bryan one on one. Dean and Seth weren’t the only men in Reigns’ corner as Randy Orton joined them too to watch the muscle of The Shield attempt to take out Bryan. Ambrose and Rollins kept their distance from the action until the end, when Bryan locked in the No lock and they swooped in to attack. Orton joining in the beat down the foursome set Bryan up with a chair around his neck, planning a nasty demise when suddenly the rest of the RAW locker room including Dolph Ziggler, The Usos, RVD and many more wronged by The Shield flood out to Daniels aid. Beating down the Shield and sending them running. Ambrose is on the receiving end of a Zig Zag and a kick to the face courtesy of RVD, before finally fleeing. The locker room has had enough of Triple H and his regime.. bad news for The Shield!

RAW opened with Edge a special guest hosting a ‘Cutting Edge’ talk segment with Daniel Bryan, which was inevitably gatecrashed by Triple H and Randy Orton hurling insults left and right. But Triple H did reveal that Daniel Bryan would be facing Dean Ambrose later on in the night! Edge went on to insult Hunters ego further and Triple H hit back where it hurt, saying he might not be able to punish Edge himself, but he could certainly hurt his friends. At which point Christian was dragged out on to the ramp fresh from a beating by The Shield. Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns dump his battered body down on the ramp as Edge races from the ring. But The Shield, Triple H and Orton are long gone.

Back from a commercial break Triple H and Stephanie are chatting in their office when Edge bursts in intent on revenge. The Shield however quickly get between Edge and Steph and Hunter, daring him to make a move. Triple H tells Edge it’d be a bad idea to persue this, he should probably just leave, or be thrown out. Not a good come back for Edge!

When the match rolled around Big Show was told he wasn’t to touch The Shield in any way or he’d be fired. Ambrose and Bryan started out and Bryan quickly controlled Ambrose, beating him back in to the turnbuckles with kicks on two occasions before Ambrose ducked out of the ring to regroup. Confering with Rollins and Reigns the pair flank the ring and Ambrose gets back inside. With a brief distraction from Rollins Ambrose makes his attack but again it’s short lived as Bryan gains the upper hand once more. Working on Dean’s arm and shoulder in an attempt to get him to tap, something that will likely never happen, sorry Bryan!

Back from a commercial break and we find Ambrose in control and taunting Bryan, but it’s short lived as Dean charges Daniel in the corner only for Daniel to dodge and Ambrose to hit the steel ring post. Putting Daniel back in control of the match. Daniel takes the fight to Ambrose but he isn’t put down for long, dodging a charge from Bryan Ambrose sends him over the ropes to the outside where Rollins attempts to distract the referee, Reigns charges Bryan with his spear but Bryan dodges and Reigns hit the steps! Rollins leaps with his high knee but Bryan dodges that too and Rollins hits the announce table. Ambrose sneaks up behind Bryan and knocks him up the back of the head, then hits him with his DDT. Throwing Daniel back in to the ring Ambrose goes for a cover but Bryan kicks out, Ambrose proceeds to yell at him to stay down but is caught in a roll up by Bryan and taken by surprise, Bryan gets the three count! Boo!

Daniel hurls Ambrose out of the ring on to Rollins and Reigns and proceeds to psych up the crowd with his Yes chants, until Orton comes out and distracts him. Daniel charges at the ropes and hurls himself at Orton, attempting an attack but The Shield quickly regroup and assault Bryan, taking control once more. Big Show finally comes in to play, threatening them with a chair but he can’t do anything! The Shield toss Bryan in to the ring and Randy mauls him with an RKO. The Shield take their leave as more Soap Opera drama breaks out between Big Show and Orton, but my interest left with them.

The night started out with The Shield standing guard at ringside once again as Triple H addressed his actions and further cemented himself as the most powerful entity in professional wrestling today. Orton of course came out to explain that he was the rightful face of the company and anybody who disrespected him should wise up. Daniel Bryan was next up but daren’t head to the ring for fear of incurring the wrath of The Shield once again. But he did thrown the gauntlet down at Randy’s feet, calling him scared and cowardly for not just facing him like a man and instead using The Shield to do his dirty work.

Later on in the night Dolph Ziggler was throw in to a match against an unknown opponent. Before the opponent could be revealed Dean Ambrose rushed the ring and assaulted Ziggler from behind, beating him down then hurling him in to the ringpost. Ambrose got out of the ring and taunted Ziggler to his face, telling him he would learn to respect the business. Then Ryback’s music hit the PA, amusing Ambrose no end, he left Ziggler to his fate.

To finish the show, during a forced match between a blackmailed Big Show and Daniel Bryan, The Shield accompanied Triple H to the ring as Big Show tried to leave. Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns attacked Bryan and Big Show went to stop them but was stopped in his tracks by Triple H. Reminding him that he needs his job to support his family, that he’s broke and has nothing else. Big Show is forced to watch as The Shield powerbomb Bryan once again, then they haul Bryan back up and Triple H orders Big Show to Knock Out Punch him while The Shield held him. Big Show refuses, turning to leave the ring only to be confronted by Stephanie and more guilt and blackmail. Eventually Big Show has no choice but to do it, throwing the punch and leaving the ring in tears. As all of them head up the ramp, Randy Orton comes out and heads to the ring. Standing over Bryan holding the title while The Shield stand guard over Stephanie, Triple H and the downtrodden Big Show.

But they don’t look happy. Is there more than meets the eye going on here?

Kicking off RAW The Shield were front and center asserting their roles as Triple H’s Mercenaries and apparent Bodyguards as he addressed the crowd and his actions regarding Daniel Bryan of late. Randy Orton was soon out to the party too and the WWE Champion and COO continued their tirade against Bryan until the underdog himself came out to confront them, keeping his distance though what with The Shield between them. After much back and forth banter about how Bryan isn’t fit to ever be the face of the company, Triple H decides to put Bryan in a match. A Gauntlet match to be exact, against all three members of The Shield. Starting with Rollins, then Ambrose, then Reigns. Daniel Bryan is in for a long night.

When the match finally rolled around to close the show, Seth Rollins started things out as Bryan’s first opponent, with Ambrose and Reigns circling the ring and looming in the background an ever constant threat as Bryan and Rollins battled it out with their usual intensity. Eventually however Daniel Bryan’s guts alone got him the win over Rollins though the victory is short and sweet as Ambrose immediately rushes the ring and begins stomping down on Bryan viciously. Ambrose continues his vicious assault until Bryan suddenly wraps him up in the Yes/No Lock! It looks like Ambrose is going to be forced to tap early but is saved by Reigns and instantly disqualified. However Reigns is immediately trapped in to the same move and The Shield has had enough. Ambrose and Rollins attacking Bryan viciously, the ref losing all control of the match.

Once The Shield have Daniel properly subdued, Triple H makes his way out on to the ramp, staring down the other Superstars gathered there forced to watch what happens when you cross the McMahon/Helmsley/Orton Regime. Triple H taunts them and then gives the nod to The Shield to hit Bryan with the Triple Powerbomb. Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns follow through on orders and leave Daniel Bryan a broken mess on the mat. but it’s not over, Ortons music hits the PA and Triple H sends him down to get his revenge for Bryan vandalizing his car earlier in the night. Ambrose and Rollins hold Bryan still for Orton and Randy takes his shot, taunting Bryan and hitting him with the RKO.

Orton leaves the ring to rejoin Triple H in staring down the rest of the roster, while The Shield stand over Daniel Bryans body, a looming reminder of what will happen if you cross the Boss. RAW has become a police state, and The Shield are the enforcers. I don’t know about you, but I love it!

After Dolph Ziggler made some ill advised derogatory comments about Triple H on, he was sentenced to a three on one handicap match against The Shield on RAW by devious GM Brad Maddox. But Dolph didn’t appear too phased as he marched to his doom. The Shield confronting him (complete with brand new embroidery on their gear, though Deans could use some re-placement!). It was Ambrose and Ziggler to start things out, a match up many of us have wanted to see for a long time and this was something of a teaser of what they could really bring us in the future. The two cautiously felt each other out with a trade of holds and attempted sleepers before Ambrose backed to his corner and tagged in Rollins.

Ziggler held his own against the trio and despite their usual tactic of fast tags in an attempt to keep Ziggler disoriented, it seemed as though they may just suffer a shocking defeat at the hands of the Show Off. But the numbers game as always won out and a devastating mid air spear from Reigns put the nail in Zigglers punishment coffin.

Ambrose returned to the ring with Rollins and the three finished Ziggler off with their trademark Triple Powerbomb. A surprising no show from RVD, Big Show or Mark Henry, but Ambrose and Ziggler is future money.

Later on in the night The Shield were called to action once again by Maddox as apparently The Big Show had also made some unflattering comments about Triple H on Big Show was sentenced to a three on one handicap with all members of The Shield in the ring at once. Despite taking a tumble on his knee earlier in the night Rollins seemed to be in fighting spirit as the Trio took on the Giant. Big Show immediately went after Reigns, taking out the power of the group and leaving Ambrose and Rollins to try and find a way to cut the Giant down. Despite being thwarted at almost every turn, Ambrose and Rollins were relentless and just kept coming, cutting Big Show down eventually. Once Reigns was back in the ring, they hit Show with their Triple Powerbomb and all three of them pinned him for the three count. Justice served.

Later on in the night The Shield were called upon again, this time to serve as a literal Shield for the McMahons, Triple H and Randy Orton as they addressed the crowd and their actions at Summerslam. As Triple H called out the browbeaten Daniel Bryan, Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns were ordered to let him past but of course this was a bluff and The Shield attacked as soon as Bryan came near. Daniel fought back bravely but was soon set up for the Triple Powerbomb. However on Triple H’s order, they released Daniel and he was allowed in to the ring, only to receive an RKO from Randy Orton. It might not be justice.. but like they said, Justice isn’t free.
