In the wake of the Royal Rumble debacle, it seems like The Shield have something to prove tonight on RAW as they stormed in on a celebrating John Cena and quickly picked him apart only for Sheamus to attempt a rescue. This was unsuccessful however and Sheamus was also put down by the angered trio. Ryback was last out to an equally flaccid attempt at subduing Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns. While Ryback tossed both Seth and Dean over the ropes, Reigns was ready for him. Shoving him against the ropes Ambrose and Rollins were able to grab his ankles and yank him out of the ring, quickly sending him crashing into the steel steps.

Sheamus attempted another assault but was sent smashing in to the ring post, knocking him loopy. The Shield got back inside the ring to gloat over their handiwork, only for Cena to resurrect and jump on them. Ambrose however saw it coming and quickly took his legs out. Before you could say ‘last night was a travesty’ Cena was lifted into the Triple Powerbomb and put out of our misery.

The Shield left through the crowd like men on a mission, but I doubt any of this will just ‘stay in Vegas’.. harr, see what I did there?

Later on in the night as Paul Heyman underwent his ‘Performance Review’ at the hand of Vince McMahon, Heyman continued to deny his involvement with The Shield. Vince however, had some rather damning video evidence to show off. Cutting to some taped footage of Heyman with Brad Maddox in some dark back alley somewhere. Heyman proceeded to tell Maddox he’d failed to do the job he was hired to do and they were tired of him repeatedly coming back for more. He went on to say that he and Punk also paid The Shield for their services, and paid them much more. But then The Shield are far more effective at what they do. At this point, Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns emerged from the shadows and surrounded Maddox who promptly began to plead for his life. Heyman simply patted on him the head and told him to think of it as a learning experience. He then left Maddox to his fate and The Shield attacked, viciously assaulting Maddox and taking the camera offline.

So what of Heyman? The Shields employer was on the verge of getting fired by McMahon, when who should show up but Brock Lesnar. Hitting the Chairman with an F5.. it seems Heyman’s assembled a wrecking crew.

After a promo for The Shield early in the show in which they stated they would open the eyes of the WWE Universe and dole out even more Justice, they went on to interrupt The Rock as he cut a promo in the ring against Paul Heyman and CM Punk. Viciously assaulting the part-time legend and hitting him with the Triple Powerbomb, they left The Rock broken and bleeding in the ring, before making a bold retreat.

Once again, The Shield comes to CM Punk & Heymans defense, but does that mean a thing? After all, I’m not the only one that thinks a part timer getting a title shot is a crime!

Later on in the show, Vince McMahon informs CM Punk that if The Shield get involved in his match against The Rock at the Royal Rumble, Punk will be stripped of the title.

Who remembers month’s ago Dean Ambrose confronting Mick Foley during Wrestlemania Weekend to air his grievances and inform Foley he’s responsible for indie wrestlers and rookies these days having to go to extreme lengths just to get noticed? We do! And it appears Ambrose still holds the grudge as Foley went to the ring to make a speech about his Hall of Fame induction this year and was promptly interrupted by The Shield before he could get a word out. However before Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns could inflict any damage on the Hardcore Legend, they were interrupted by Ryback storming down to the ring and attacking. He briefly got the better of the trio but the numbers game soon caught up, prompting Randy Orton down to the ring. A man The Shield assaulted once again last Friday. Still the numbers were in The Shields favor as the brawl kicked off, so last to the party was Sheamus, evening the playing field and eventually clearing house. Leaving Ambrose the last Shield member in the ring surrounded by the three, Ryback hauled him to his feet and delivered the Shellshocked!

Ambrose was quickly pulled out of the ring by Rollins and Reigns and the trio retreated, angrily yelling back at the ring. Ryback was approached afterward by Josh Matthews and he barked into the mic ‘Feed Me Shield!’… well, his grasp on English may not be the best along with his promo skills, but the challenge is clear. Will The Shield Accept?

On the first RAW of 2013 CM Punk was forced to defend his title against the terminally hungry one, Ryback. In a TLC match no less! Well you know who’s names are synonymous with TLC now after their groundbreaking debut match at the TLC Pay Per View, so chances of The Shield NOT getting involved in this match somehow were slim and none. The match was a brutal one with Punk finally back on form after his knee injury, however as it drew to a close Ryback took control of matters and dropped Punk over the top rope and through a table, then set up a ladder to make the climb for the Title. It looked as though we had a new champ, until the lights went out! Rock? Jericho? Psht. When the lights came back up Ryback had company at the top of the ladder in the form of Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. Trading punches, Rollins and Ambrose were knocked off, but Reigns was in for the save, yanking Ryback down. Ryback proceeded to toss all three members of the Shield out of the ring and make another try at getting up the ladder. But it wasn’t to be as Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns tore him down and began the beatdown!

Dragging him to the outside they neutralized him first, then moved him around the ring and set him up for triple Powerbomb through a table onto the steel steps. Ouch! With Ryback officially murdered, The Shield celebrated and made their escape. Leaving CM Punk to collect his title with ease!

As the year comes to a close The Shields onslaught doesn’t miss a beat, this time stepping in to take care of the Great White Annoyance, Sheamus. During a match between Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler, Ziggler appeared to be on the losing end of the match until Big E Langston stepped in for the save. As Langston and Sheamus squared off Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns rushed the ring and attacked the World Heavyweight Champion. Sheamus tried his best to fend them off, tossing Reigns and Ambrose out of the ring, however the numbers game was again to prove too much as Reigns put Sheamus down with a brutal spear. Leading Ambrose and Rollins to set him up for the Triple Powerbomb. Sheamus becomes another notch on The Shield’s belt.

Later on in the night The Shield were put in to a 3 on 1 Handicap match against Ryback. Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns were first down to the ring and waited the arrival of the terminally hungry one, but once he made his appearance they didn’t even let him get to the ring before launching their relentless assault. Hauling Ryback into the ring despite his attempts to fend them off, they soon had him down and in dire need of rescue.. which came in the form of Sheamus! However the numbers game still worked in The Shields favor and while Rollins choked Ryback in the corner, Ambrose and Reigns beat down Sheamus, neutralizing him and standing tall. Until the unexpected return of Randy Orton! A man The Shield beat down and injured weeks ago on Smackdown. Orton evened the odds and tossed Ambrose out of the ring while Sheamus and Ryback fought back. Reigns was also dispatched and Ryback held Rollins over his head and tossed him over the top rope, landing on and crushing Reigns. Ambrose made one last valiant attempt to take down the trio, but was caught by Orton in a brutal RKO. Reigns and Rollins quickly pulled their partner from the ring and The Shield retreated through the crowd.

But you can bet your ass this is far from over, the look on Ambrose’ face alone as they neared the backstage area was enough to tell us that!

Another RAW, another vile injustice as John Cena is handed the Slammy Award for ‘Superstar of the Year’, presented by the returning Ric Flair. Of course, CM Punk had plenty to say about this matter and stormed out to confront Flair and declare himself Superstar of the Year. Punk went on to say he could beat Flair one legged, to which the Nature Boy challenged Punk to do just that. Down in the ring, Punk battered Flair with his crutches before hobbling out of the ring, only for Flair to put the Figure 4 on Heyman. Cue, the harbingers of Justice. The Shield heading out through the crowd and down to the ring to put Flair back on the retirement list. Only for Daniel Bryan and Kane to interrupt, an all out brawl breaking out at ringside. However Kane and Bryan were quickly dispatched of and Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns turned their attention to Flair, threatening to put him through the announce desk (to CZW chants, hell yeah!).

Before they could go through with it however, Ryback emerged hell bent on revenge for TLC. With Kane and Bryan back on their feet, The Shield were quickly separated and fled through the crowd. Well, it’s better to pick your moments!

But I doubt this will go unanswered.

Later on in the night and backstage, The Shield unexpectedly assaulted ECW Veteran Tommy Dreamer, beating him down viciously and promoting the inevitable intervention from, of all people, Ricardo Rodriguez and Officials. Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns barely batted an eyelid dispatching of them too, before taking their leave. Ambrose getting in one last kick on Dreamer before making his exit.

During the show the promo from Friday nights Smackdown was aired once again and the up coming TLC match was discussed, but The Shield were thus far nowhere to be seen. Their usual domineering presence eerily absent throughout, though Cole informed us there were ‘rumors’ they were in the building.

During RAW’s Main Event between John Cena and Big Show however, they finally made their move. Rushing the ring and assaulting John Cena! We can only assume the injustice there being that Dolph Ziggler is being forced to defend his Money in the Bank briefcase against Cena at TLC. Of course, the beat down wasnt to last long as Team Hell No came to the rescue and all hell officially broke lose, with bodies flying everywhere Ambrose beat down Daniel Bryan while Rollins and Reigns took out Kane and Big Show and Ziggler assaulted Cena. One man left, Ryback soon emerged and hurled a ladder at The Shield, taking all three out for a heartbeat, but they were back up in seconds. RAW went off the air to complete mayhem in the ring, looks like TLC is going to be a dogfight.

RAW Opened up with a match between Team Hell No and the Prime Time Players, but as Kane and Daniel Bryan made their way to the ring, all three members of The Shield were shown in the Skybox looking down upon the ring. As the match got underway, the cameras repeatedly cut to the trio who pretty quickly split up, leaving Ambrose alone in the Skybox, while Reigns made his way through the crowd and Rollins went AWOL. The match progressed and Rollins and Ambrose continued on their way through the crowd to the ring, eventually arriving at the barrier with Rollins still missing. Daniel Bryan picked up the win for Team Hell No and instantly Reigns and Ambrose attacked Kane on the outside, while Rollins appeared out of nowhere to assault Bryan in the ring! Ambrose and Reigns trapped Kane’s arm between the steel steps and ring post, proceeding to batter the steps with kicks in an attempt to injure Kane’s arm, while in the ring Bryan began to fight back against Rollins.

With Kane incapacitated, Ambrose and Reigns went to Rollins’ aid and Bryan was quickly subdued and hit with their deadly Powerbomb. The Shield stood over their latest victims, before exiting through the crowd.

Later on in the night, no sooner had Randy Orton defeated Brad Maddox in a one on one contest in which Maddox would secure himself a contract if he defeated his opponent. The Shield struck again as Orton’s arm was raised in victory, brutally attacking the Viper before landing their trademark Powerbomb on him and leaving him prone in the ring. Their justification for this attack? Unclear.

Then during ‘Miz TV’ as CM Punk was put through a lie detector test by The Miz, when the question came around to weather or not he was working with The Shield, he was saved from having to answer by Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns invading the ring and taking out The Miz, issuing out another beat down before Kane and Daniel Bryan attempted to make the save. But the three on two odds still were in The Shield’s favor, until the arrival of Ryback! Ryback made a beeline for Ambrose and the two brawled out of the ring and out through the crowd, while Kane and Bryan took on Seth and Reigns, effectively and for the first time neutralizing The Shield long enough for Ryback to return to the ring and issue some payback on CM Punk. Since their arrival on RAW, this has been the first time Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns have been put on the run. But we all know they’ll regroup and next week there’ll be hell to pay!

Michael Cole conducted an interview ‘earlier in the day’ with the NX3 trio and was almost instantly cut off by Dean Ambrose as he proceeded with his questions. Dean simply telling him to just spit it out if he had a question. Cole nervously obeyed the instruction and asked if the three of them were here to defend Punk, he was met with an abrupt ‘No’ from Dean, before Seth Rollins took over and began to explain that the three of them had sat down in NXT and watched the WWE become a popularity contest, that true talent was being bypassed in favor of whoever the WWE Universe cheered for and that this was injust. Ambrose continued, explaining that they saw the fact that CM Punk had been forced to defend his WWE Championship against two men he’d already defeated, as an injustice. In this day and age a 365 day Title reign is one massive accomplishment and should be celebrated, had that accolade been Rybacks’s, they would have jumped in in his defense instead.

In short, they’ve arrived in the WWE to right the injustices that they see in the WWE. Declaring themselves to be ‘The Shield’. Reigns put an end to the interview shortly thereafter, the trio leaving Michael Cole duly intimidated.

During the Main Event between CM Punk and Kane, The Shield arrived at ringside and circled the ring, waiting for the match to finish. With CM Punk victorious, Ambrose, Rollins & Reigns entered the ring and for a moment seemed like they may go after Punk, before suddenly and viciously turning their attention to Kane, issuing another brutal beatdown. Daniel Bryan ran in for the save but was caught almost immediately by the trio and issues the same punishment. As The Shield dominated, Ryback made his presence felt and for a handful of moments got the better of the threesome, however with the numbers game and a little help from CM Punk, Ambrose and co were soon delivering yet another brutal powerbomb to Ryback, leaving him down and out in the ring. Punk stood tall over the wrecking machine, while The Shield gloated over their handywork. Not in allegiance with Punk? Hmmm.

As CM Punk celebrated his 365th day as WWE Champion in the ring with Paul Heyman, the party was crashed by Ryback, looking for revenge for what took place at Survivor Series! But you didnt think Punk would be out there without backup, did you? In an echo of last nights events Dean Ambrose alongside Rollins and Reigns came out of nowhere and viciously assaulted Ryback, battering him on the outside. Ryback mounted a brief offense as he threw Reigns and Rollins against the barriers, but Ambrose was on hand to keep him from reaching Punk. The trio quickly regrouped and dominated Ryback, dragging him out of the ring once again and setting him up just as they did at Survivor Series, hitting him with a devastating powerbomb through the announce table!

CM Punk and Paul Heyman looked on with broad smirks on their faces, and as Ambrose and co took to the ring to gloat over their victory, Punk stood over Rybacks fallen body and held his Championship in the air! The Best in The World sure knows how to pick em! Welcome to RAW Dean!
