WANT TO HELP?
Unlike many websites, Dean-Ambrose.Net is not run on a 'free host' and instead operates on a private dedicated server to keep things nuisance Ad free and running as fast as possible with absolutely minimal down time. It also keeps the site firmly in our hands with nobody governing us. This being the case, it costs a lot to run each month. I've had enquiries about how people can help so I thought I'd add the Donation button back to the site for a little while, if you'd like to help toward server costs, anything you send will go straight toward them and be very much appreciated! Unfortunately Dean’s match was moved to the Kickoff show but that didn’t stop him living up to his word and proving to Baron Corbin he’s not to be taken lightly. Dean endured everything Corbin had to dish out, and went on to counter one of Baron’s signature moves and turn it into a Dirty Deeds to pick up the win and retain the Intercontinental Championship. Here’s what WWE.com had to say!

Since the WWE Brand Extension Draft last summer, Baron Corbin has more than lived up to his Lone Wolf nickname, meticulously stalking his prey and ascending the ranks on SmackDown LIVE. However, the hunter will have to wait a bit longer before he becomes the hunted, as Dean Ambrose was just one step ahead of him during the WrestleMania Kickoff.

The path Corbin and Ambrose took to get here was anything but magical, and their bout reflected that same ruggedness. The Lone Wolf and The Lunatic Fringe threw down in front of a capacity crowd inside the Orlando Citrus Bowl, duking it out in a contest that made this portion of The Ultimate Thrill Ride resemble a chaotic freefall on Disney Hollywood Studios’ “Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.”

Evading several major attacks from Corbin, Ambrose managed to connect with his signature elbow off the top turnbuckle onto The Lone Wolf on the outside. Unbelievably, Corbin not only withstood that onslaught, but he also unloaded with a relentless barrage of powerful strikes. Corbin seemed to have The Lunatic Fringe on the ropes, but no one can ever count out Dean Ambrose, who countered The Lone Wolf and connected with Dirty Deeds for the win.

Baron Corbin’s moment in the sun will come. However, Dean Ambrose made sure it wasn’t tonight in Orlando.

Smackdown started out with Baron Corbin confronting Daniel Bryan and demanding to know Dean’s answer to his challenge. Bryan simply tells him he hasn’t heard from Dean since he was crushed under a forklift by Baron and he’ll have to wait. In the meantime, he puts Corbin into a match against Randy Orton. It’s during this match, Dean chooses his time to get a little payback. Climbing up on top of a forklift he’d brought out to the ramp, Dean distracted Baron asking if he was busy. This was enough for Orton to lay out Corbin and win the match. Dean sauntered down to the ring afterward, accepted Corbins challenge to an Intercontinental Championship match at Wrestlemania, nailed him with a Dirty Deeds, then left him floundering in the ring. That’s just the start of the fun you’ve gotten yourself in to, Corbin. Here’s what WWE.com had to say!

Orton and Corbin left it all in the ring in a hard-hitting contest as they faced off for the first time. The turning point came when Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose returned to SmackDown LIVE, standing on the front of a forklift in reference to Corbin’s attack with the destructive device from several weeks ago.

The distraction proved costly for The Lone Wolf, as it allowed The Viper to strike with an RKO and pick up the victory.

After the contest, The Lunatic Fringe made his way to the ring to tell Corbin that “it was on” for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania, striking The Lone Wolf with a Dirty Deeds for good measure.
