As we head into Great Balls of Fire and Dean’s rematch for the Intercontinental Championship, it seems like it’s all about balls on RAW! Yes, I really just said that. Tonights guests on Miz TV are the Ball family, Los Angeles Lakers draft pick Lonzo Ball, his brother LaMelo and his father LaVar. Miz wants to become a business partner but they laugh him off, only for Dean to arrive wearing one of their Baller Brand T Shirts and announcing nobody has bigger balls than Dean Ambrose. Well then. On that thought, Dean takes the fight to Miz in a six man tag. Teaming up with Rhyno and Slater to take on Miz and his ‘entourage’ of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. Miz spends the match actively avoiding Dean and then taunting him when he gets the chance. Not the smartest move. Dean sticks within the rules and unfortunately his opponents do not. With the usual Miz shenanigans, he and his entourage secure the win with Dean just seconds away from breaking up the pin. A frustrating loss for him. Here’s what had to say.

Intercontinental Champion The Miz & The Miztourage def. Dean Ambrose, Heath Slater & Rhyno
First, the bad news for The Miz: Despite landing one of the bigger coups in “Miz TV” history when he had Los Angeles Lakers draft pick Lonzo Ball, his brother LaMelo and his father LaVar as guests, LaVar passed up an opportunity to merge The Miz with Big Baller Brand in favor of Dean Ambrose, who wore a Big Baller Brand shirt to the ring as proof of the collaboration.

The good news, at least, is that the Intercontinental Champion and his Miztourage won the day nevertheless: Heath Slater & Rhyno joined Ambrose in a Six-Man Tag against the entire Miztourage, and despite a formidable effort by Slater & Rhyno, Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas came through for their new benefactor.

While Ambrose chased Miz around the ring and commanded the ref’s attention, Axel hit Rhyno with a cheap shot, and Bo rolled up The Man Beast for three.

Last week Dean burrowed his way further under The Miz’s skin, causing even more of a rift between he and his wife Maryse using nothing but a bear suit and good timing. This week, Miz invites Maryse to Miz TV to get on his knees and grovel.. well, buy her expensive champagne and gifts anyway. Mid apology, Dean crashes the party and his mere presence sends Miz spiralling into a panic, pulling Maryse in front of him as Dean enters the ring and causing Maryse to splash her champagne all over her face. Miz charges Dean and Dean ducks, sending Miz crashing into the Grandfather Clock he’d gotten repaired for Maryse. She’s had it, and shoves Miz away as she once again storms off. Dean attempts to strike Miz with Dirty Deeds, but settles for clotheslining him out of the ring instead.

Only this time Miz had backup, in the form of the apology bears in the ring. Apology bears that turn out to be Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas, newly recruited as Miz’s sidekicks. They assault Dean viciously, and Miz joins in to deliver a skull crushing finale, leaving Dean writhing in pain in the ring. Ouch.. here’s what had to say!

Dean Ambrose hasn’t just gotten inside The Miz’s head over the last couple of weeks, he’s managed to drive a wedge in the Intercontinental Champion’s marriage.

The Lunatic Fringe’s schemes have landed Miz so deep in the doghouse with Maryse that he had to stage a special apology edition of “Miz TV,” complete with a pair of giant apology bears, who were confirmed not to be Ambrose in disguise, and the inadvertently-destroyed grandfather clock The A-Lister repaired with his own two hands.

It all seemed to be going swimmingly until Ambrose’s music hit, at which point a panicked Miz spilled champagne on Maryse and accidentally demolished the clock again while attempting to bum-rush The Lunatic Fringe.

That fiasco led to Maryse storming off and Ambrose knocking Miz over the ropes, but staying in the ring with the bears proved to be Ambrose’s undoing. The bears attacked The Lunatic Fringe from behind while he was staring down Miz and unmasked themselves to reveal Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel, whom The A-Lister had offered spots in his “entourage” earlier in the evening. Miz provided the exclamation point, booting Ambrose in the face while Dallas and Axel held him down and administering the Skull-Crushing Finale moments later.

So many puns, so little time. More shenanigans this week as the battle for the Intercontinental Championship and general bragging rights continues between Dean Ambrose and The Miz. Dean starts out his night facing Elias Samson again, looking to get a little payback for the past week. Dean has the match in hand and his opponent down, when the Miz interferes, distracting him and leading Dean on a wild chase around the outside of the ring. He narrowly misses being counted out, but when he gets back in the rin he’s instantly stomped on by Samson and dragged into his finisher. Another annoying loss for Dean.

Later on in the night The Miz demands from Kurt Angle that something be done about Dean, asking for him to be suspended. Angle refuses to do any such thing and tells Miz to handle it himself. Miz attempts to put together an ‘entourage’ but only ends up landing himself in a match against Heath Slater and Rhyno.. with a mystery partner. The mystery partner? The fuzzy bear from last weeks ill fated celebration! Of course.. Miz assumes the bear is Ambrose and is once again wrong as he attacks the hapless guy and finds ‘not Dean Ambrose’ underneath.

Miz returns to the match, momentarily conversing with his wife. While he does so, another bear gets into the ring. Heath Slater aids the bear back to his feet, but suddenly, the bear hits Slater with Dirty Deeds. Maryse tries to warn her husband but he doesn’t listen and ends up knocking her onto her butt! She storms off angry, while Miz turns to meet his fate: Dean Ambrose in a bear costume. There’s so many one liners I can’t even begin. Dean nails Miz with Dirty Deeds, and puts the bear head over his face. Vast improvement if you ask us. Here’s what had to say!

Dean Ambrose is still willing to walk with Elias Samson — but thanks to The Miz, the former Intercontinental Champion can’t quite seem to beat him.

Despite suffering a clothesline that nearly knocked him out of his boots, The Lunatic Fringe fought back from the brink to put the burly balladeer on his heels during the latest installment of their rivalry.

The A-Lister made his presence known at the moment of truth, and while the Intercontinental Champion crucially refrained from laying hands on Ambrose, his presence was enough to seal The Lunatic Fringe’s fate. Ambrose chased Miz around the ring, dove back into the squared circle when he realized he was about to be counted out and immediately ate a knee to the back from Samson. The sinister serenader followed up with the rolling neckbreaker for the win.

Bear with us here, because this gets a little complicated.

First, after Raw General Manager Kurt Angle told Miz he was on his own against Dean Ambrose, The Awesome One attempted to poach Heath Slater to his side as an ally, which led The One-Man Band’s tag partner, Rhyno, to challenge The A-Lister to a tag match — provided, of course, he could find a partner of his own. That turned out to be a giant bear, much like the one Miz suspected was Ambrose in disguise during last week’s catastrophic Intercontinental Championship coronation.

Suspicious of his ursine ally from the get-go, Miz attacked the bear and removed its giant head, only to reveal, once again, that it wasn’t Ambrose, at which point he threw the bear out of the ring in frustration.

The bear seemingly recovered in time to re-enter the fray, but when he hit Dirty Deeds on Slater, the WWE Universe realized a switcheroo had been pulled and Ambrose had finagled his way into the match. Miz was too banged-up to notice, and a panicked Maryse couldn’t get her husband’s attention to warn him.

But when The Lunatic Fringe revealed himself, Miz freaked and accidentally bumped Maryse off the ring apron in his attempt to flee, leading to Ambrose planting his rival with a Dirty Deeds. Ambrose then placed The One-Man Band atop Miz for the win and covered Miz’s head with his mask, leaving WWE’s self-dubbed “It” couple to suffer more humiliation than anyone can possibly bear.

It’s not paranoia if Dean Ambrose is really out to get you. A lesson The Miz learned tonight on RAW in the aftermath of Extreme Rules. Early in the show Dean came to the ring and quickly dispatched Elias Samson, then called out The Miz demanding his rematch. Miz showed up, but only via video screen and told Dean he wasn’t getting his rematch tonight. While Dean’s attention was focused on the screen, Samson returned to the ring and attacked Dean from behind – well, he’s just racking up the bad book points.

Later on in the night Dean hunts down Kurt Angle and demands to know where Miz is, Angle instead deflects Dean’s demands and tells him to take the night off, his rematch isn’t happening tonight, but Miz’s celebration is. Reluctantly, Dean agrees to leave the building and take the night off.. only, not. He returns a while later, sneaking back in behind Kurt Angles back.

Forward to The Miz’s championship celebration and a mystery man in a bear costume confuses both Miz and his wife, neither of them having ordered ‘the bear’. Miz assumes its Dean and lays the bear out with the skull crushing finale, then tears the head off to reveal… NOT Dean Ambrose. Paranoia well and truly setting in, a gift brought down to ringside is immediately attacked by Miz with a chair, upsetting his wife! Once he’s beaten the gift to a pulp, it turns out it really was just a gift from Maryse. Miz is in for a long night, with his wife so mad at him she leaves! Miz gets back in the ring and demands to know where Dean is. Well, Miz, right behind you! He never suspected the camera man! Dean drops the camera equipment and nails Miz with Dirty Deeds, then steals his champagne to go celebrate revenge. Here’s what had to say!

You can’t really blame Dean Ambrose for being a little raw (so to speak) about what went down at WWE Extreme Rules. After Ambrose somehow managed to adhere to the stipulation that he could lose the Intercontinental Title to The Miz via disqualification at WWE Extreme Rules, a confrontation with the referee allowed The A-Lister to pin Dean the old-fashioned way, all of which is to say that The Lunatic Fringe wasn’t really in the mood for Elias Samson’s singing insults on Raw.

Ambrose ambushed Samson mid-ballad and threw him into the crowd, only stopping to demand his title rematch with The A-Lister. But Miz, having plenty of experience in avoiding people who want to beat him up, came prepared: The new Intercontinental Champion was ensconced in the safety of the backstage area, from which he revealed that Ambrose would not be getting a rematch, and Miz would instead kick off his “Intercontinental Championship Comeback Tour” with a celebration later in the evening.

And then, finally, Samson sprang back up and laid out Ambrose. Adding insult to injury (injuries?), Kurt Angle gave Ambrose the night off when the deposed former champion went hunting for The A-Lister backstage.

In an ideal world for The Miz, he would have begun his Intercontinental Championship “Comeback Tour” with champagne, gifts and absolutely no interference of any kind from Dean Ambrose. He’ll have to settle for two out of three.

The so-called kickoff ceremony did indeed have all the trappings Miz expected, but having seen Seth Rollins do this dance a few years back, the champion was understandably paranoid that Ambrose was lying in wait and thus, had his head on a swivel from the word jump, despite the fact The Lunatic Fringe had been ostensibly given the night off by Raw GM Kurt Angle.

Miz became steadily more unhinged as the ceremony progressed, beating up a dancing bear whom he thought was Ambrose in disguise and dropping two tremendous elbows on a giant gift box before Ambrose could, presumably, jump out and attack. That turned out to be a gift of a “timeless” grandfather clock from Maryse, and its destruction led to The Awesome One’s lady love storming off in disgust.

He needn’t have looked so hard to find The Lunatic Fringe, though: With Kurt Angle distracted thanks to his own ongoing drama surrounding potentially-incriminating texts, Ambrose had snuck back into the building and hid himself in plain sight, filming Miz in the guise of a cameraman and waiting for the opportune moment to strike with Dirty Deeds. The Lunatic Fringe then took Miz’s champagne for good measure.

The most Extreme night of the year, and the most Extreme Superstar on the roster figuratively had his hands tied. No, it makes no sense to us either! Dean kicked off Extreme Rules defending his Intercontinental Championship against The Miz, who managed to get a stipulation put in place where if Dean got disqualified, he also lost the Championship. Normally a DQ means a title doesn’t change hands, so this stripped Dean of his ‘Champions advantage’.. it also put the advantage squarely in Miz’s corner as he had the ever present X Factor of Maryse on his side. An X factor that would come in to play as the stakes rose and the match rolled on, the Miz told his wife to slap him in a deliberate attempt to get Dean Disqualified. The referee saw through the ruse and had Maryse thrown out, but as Maryse argued with the referee, Miz once again attempted to get Dean DQ’d by shoving him deliberately into the ref. It looked like this time the referee might indeed disqualify Dean, but as Dean pleaded with him not to do it, Miz snuck up behind him and hit the skull crushing finale, ending Deans Intercontinental Championship reign.. sometimes the odds just aren’t in your favor. Here’s what had to say!

At WWE Extreme Rules, The Miz’s controversial tactics, combined with an accidental collision with the referee and the general commotion of an intense showdown, allowed The A-Lister to steal his seventh Intercontinental Championship.

Even before both Superstars journeyed to Raw as part of the Superstar Shake-up, The Miz made his opinion clear that Dean Ambrose is an unworthy Intercontinental Champion. And after their title match on Raw ended in a disqualification, The A-Lister convinced Raw General Manager Kurt Angle to take the championship advantage out of the equation for the rematch. At WWE Extreme Rules, if Ambrose were to get himself disqualified, he would lose his coveted title. From the beginning of his 92nd pay-per-view match, The Miz tried every trick in the book to get The Lunatic Fringe to snap or to make the referee believe that the titleholder had broken the rules. Though Miz was unsuccessful in causing Ambrose to get disqualified, the stipulation clearly took something out of his opponent’s game plan from start to finish, as The Awesome One maintained a decisive advantage throughout much of the contest.

With every minute, the battle grew more and more fierce, resulting in an injury to Ambrose’s knee and the exchange of Figure-Four Leglocks. During the height of the action, Miz once again tried to bring an end to the contest by having Maryse slap him. Rather than call for the bell, the referee kicked The Awesome One’s cunning wife out of the bout. As the official worked to get her away from ringside, the turmoil continued in the ring, and Ambrose was thrown into the referee when his back was turned. Thinking Ambrose smashed into him on purpose, the referee looked as if he was going to disqualify the titleholder. However, before he could, Miz engaged his opponent from behind and hit him with a Skull-Crushing Finale for the huge victory.

Like him or hate him, the seven-time Intercontinental Champion once again stands at the top of the mountain. But, with The Lunatic Fringe on the loose, how long can he remain there? Find out Monday night at 8/7 C on Raw.

One last stop before Extreme Rules and Dean gets the opportunity to team for the first time ever with Team Extreme, Matt and Jeff Hardy! The Hardyz are Dean’s backup as he comes out solo to confront The Miz, Cesaro and Sheamus. A 6 man tag is made and Dean slots right in to the Hardy mayhem. Despite catching a bit of a beating thanks to Miz’s distraction, Dean endures as always to make the tag to Jeff Hardy and eventual victory. He faces The Miz at Extreme Rules to defend his Intercontinental Championship.. but with the disqualification stipulation in place, will Maryse be the X Factor Dean has to look out for? Here’s what had to say!

It is a truth universally acknowledged that nearly every episode of “Miz TV” ends with the host catching hands, but The A-Lister’s sit-down with Cesaro & Sheamus ended badly even by those standards when Dean Ambrose and The Hardy Boyz came a-callin’ and scrapped with their WWE Extreme Rules opponents in Raw’s opening moments.

Despite the beating dished out by the Intercontinental and Raw Tag Team Champions, the impromptu Six-Man matchup that ensued from the fracas provided a unique opportunity for Miz — who will challenge for Ambrose’s title on Sunday — and Cesaro & Sheamus — who’ll make a play for the Hardys’ — to gain some momentum heading into Sunday.

Alas, no dice: After being isolated from the Hardys for an significant portion of the match, The Lunatic Fringe summoned Jeff Hardy into the fray. The Charismatic Enigma quickly tagged in his brother Matt, who survived a wild brawl to hit Twist of Fate on The Miz, teeing up Jeff for the fateful Swanton Bomb.

At Extreme Rules Dean faces The Miz in a decidedly non extreme match, with the stipulation that if he gets disqualified, he loses the Intercontinental Championship. Tonight on RAW, Dean faces ‘The Drifter’ Elias Samson in his debut match and The Miz showcases just one way in which Dean could find himself disqualified next week.. someone elses attacking Miz? Would Maryse go so far as to attack her own husband to get Dean disqualified? It could happen. It happens on RAW as The Miz interrupts an intense match and delivers a halfhearted blow to Samson, getting Dean DQ’d. Cunning as he may be, it doesn’t stop Dean getting up and chasing after Miz, finally getting his hands on him only for Samson to strike him from behind, making himself his first enemy on RAW in the process. Here’s what had to say!

Elias Samson finally wandered through one too many confrontations on Raw when he interrupted Raw General Manager Kurt Angle’s business, but The Olympic Hero had to be pleasantly surprised when his planned punishment for the roaming balladeer — a match with Dean Ambrose — instead turned into a showcase for Samson’s abilities.

After foretelling The Lunatic Fringe’s doom in song, Samson absolutely overwhelmed the Intercontinental Champion, much to the delight of The Miz at commentary. Ambrose managed to fight his way back and looked to have momentum on his side until Miz rushed the ring and cheap-shotted Samson, costing Ambrose the match on a disqualification ruling. (Remember, Ambrose will lose his title if that happens at Extreme Rules.)

The Lunatic Fringe gave chase to Miz, but Samson attacked from behind and administered a swinging neckbreaker to the champion, proving he’ll stroll wherever he pleases and back it up when called upon, as well.
