Keeping their faces on television managed to keep the Shield on the Power 25 rankings. Unfortunately not capable of shooting up without a win or a loss and no real impact made during this ranking week – merely a promo on Smackdown – they remained in their spot at #22. Below is what WWE.com had to say on the subject of the three deadly men:

The trio of Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns holds strong in the No. 22 spot. Who will the group focus its sights on in 2013?

WWE.com are up to their list making shenanigans again and this time it’s who we’re to expect big things from in the coming year, like we needed telling Dean Ambrose was about to take the WWE by the balls and twist. But here’s their confirmation, and what they had to say!

The Shield
If you had asked the WWE Universe who Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns were in the first 11 months of 2012, there’s a strong chance you’d have gotten a blank stare and a raised eyebrow. Now, of course, it’s a different story. Ever since this triumvirate of NXT Superstars surged into Survivor Series and laid waste to Ryback, “The Shield” has inspired untold unease among the ranks of WWE Superstars, leaving them to wonder who will be next in their crosshairs. Claiming to defend “justice” in a WWE that allegedly lacks it, the trio was hardly shy in choosing its targets: John Cena, Ryback, Randy Orton, Team Hell No, and others who they believe embody a broken system that they swore to change before NXT. With Ambrose as the group’s mouthpiece, Rollins as its daredevil and Reigns as its bruiser, The Shield made its biggest statement yet by defeating Team Hell No & Ryback in a brutal Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match at WWE TLC, ensuring their reign of terror would continue well into 2013. And the scary thing is, they’re just getting warmed up.

As the year comes to a close The Shields onslaught doesn’t miss a beat, this time stepping in to take care of the Great White Annoyance, Sheamus. During a match between Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler, Ziggler appeared to be on the losing end of the match until Big E Langston stepped in for the save. As Langston and Sheamus squared off Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns rushed the ring and attacked the World Heavyweight Champion. Sheamus tried his best to fend them off, tossing Reigns and Ambrose out of the ring, however the numbers game was again to prove too much as Reigns put Sheamus down with a brutal spear. Leading Ambrose and Rollins to set him up for the Triple Powerbomb. Sheamus becomes another notch on The Shield’s belt.

Later on in the night The Shield were put in to a 3 on 1 Handicap match against Ryback. Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns were first down to the ring and waited the arrival of the terminally hungry one, but once he made his appearance they didn’t even let him get to the ring before launching their relentless assault. Hauling Ryback into the ring despite his attempts to fend them off, they soon had him down and in dire need of rescue.. which came in the form of Sheamus! However the numbers game still worked in The Shields favor and while Rollins choked Ryback in the corner, Ambrose and Reigns beat down Sheamus, neutralizing him and standing tall. Until the unexpected return of Randy Orton! A man The Shield beat down and injured weeks ago on Smackdown. Orton evened the odds and tossed Ambrose out of the ring while Sheamus and Ryback fought back. Reigns was also dispatched and Ryback held Rollins over his head and tossed him over the top rope, landing on and crushing Reigns. Ambrose made one last valiant attempt to take down the trio, but was caught by Orton in a brutal RKO. Reigns and Rollins quickly pulled their partner from the ring and The Shield retreated through the crowd.

But you can bet your ass this is far from over, the look on Ambrose’ face alone as they neared the backstage area was enough to tell us that!

Wrapping up the 2012 shows, the Shield once more continued on with the RAW leg of the tour. Vengeance on the mind, certainly, after the last house show, the Shield came through the crowd to assault Daniel Bryan. His tag team partner, Kane, was quick to intervene to try and even the odds, but the Shield’s pack mentality and number games were only evened out by the addition of Ryback. A six man tag was then made, and unfortunately, the trio walked away with a loss in the record books.

To ring in the new year we have a fantastic new layout courtesy of the ever brilliant Cristy of DaxStudios.net! This was a real collaborative effort and she managed to create this off of a really lame mockup I made in photoshop. This girl is amazing. It’s obviously Shield based, though I will be adding some retro images to the slider soon! In the mean time, I hope you all love it as much as we do!

Also, we have some awesome new signatures for you to use up in our Media Gallery! Feel free to do with them as you will, though a credit would be nice!

Have a safe and happy New Year!

* Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler is up next. Big E Langston and AJ Lee are at ringside. They wrestle for about 15 minutes until The Shield attacks and it’s over. The Shield stand over Sheamus after beating him down. They leave through the crowd. Ziggler, AJ and Langston left as soon as The Shield attacked.

Going along with the RAW tour to Long Island, the Shield headed to the ring late in the night to take on the WWE Tag Team Champions, Team Hell No, and Ryback. After their victory over Team Hell No and the Miz, and their assault on Ryback at yesterday’s show, the meathead and the champions looked for evident revenge. Whether or not they obtained it is questionable, as the Shield unfortunately walked away with a loss, but by disqualification.

Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns defeated The Miz, Kane and Daniel Bryan in their MSG debut.

The Ryback vs. Paul Heyman NYC Street Fight barely happened as The Shield jumped Ryback as he made his entrance. This brought out Miz, Kane and Bryan for a brawl. Ryback ended up hitting Shell Shocked on Heyman for the win. Ryback returned to the ring and speared Heyman through a table in the corner to end it.

The Shield interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to bring you this public service announcement. They’re pissed off, and things are only going to get worse. Next week they’re taking their brand of Justice back to their roots at NXT, to right a few wrongs and for Seth Rollins to take care of Corey Graves and his idle threats. For Dean Ambrose, this isn’t a time of cheer and thanks, it’s a time of injustice (you’re telling me, my Christmas day SUCKED). The worlds an unfair and brutal place, get used to it. In the words of the man himself, happy new year.
