Click to find out what Ambrose and co are getting up to this Friday, and an announcement regarding the TLC Pay Per View!
[spoiler]It was announced during tonight’s currently ongoing SmackDown tapings that CM Punk will no longer defend the WWE Championship against Ryback in a TLC match at the upcoming Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view due to his surgery.

The new main event was announced to be Ryback teaming with WWE Tag Team Champions Daniel Bryan and Kane against all 3 members of The Shield; Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.

Big Show defeated Daniel Bryan. After the match, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns come out and attack Bryan until Kane makes the save. They end up beating Kane down and put him through the Spanish announcers table.

In the light of news of CM Punk’s apparent knee surgery today, has an extensive article up on Punk’s injury and what this will mean for TLC if he’s unable to compete. Will Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns get their first match in a 3 on 1 against Ryback? We can only hope. Here’s an excerpt from the article!

If Punk is not stripped of the title, WWE TLC could become the first pay-per-view in years not to feature the WWE Champion in action. Considering Raw Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero’s seemingly tenuous grip on WWE’s flagship program, it appears unlikely she would let matters come to that. Alternatively, perhaps The Queen Diva is already hard at work on a contingency plan that would impress even Mr. McMahon. Could an interim champion be named? It was only last year that Punk’s walkout with the title at Money in the Bank necessitated the crowning of a new champion. That duel-champion controversy was resolved at SummerSlam 2011 with an Undisputed WWE Championship Match between Punk and Cena. Could a similar situation happen this year?

And what would Punk’s absence from WWE TLC mean for his scheduled opponent, Ryback? Maybe WWE’s dominant omnivore, finding his order of Punk out of stock, would seek out a new three-course meal of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, known collectively as The Shield?

Let it not be forgotten either that should Punk vs. Ryback be scrapped, the WWE TLC event would still be in need of a bout that carries the Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match stipulation. Vickie’s tenure in charge of Raw has been nothing if not capricious. Could Ryback find himself warring amid tables, ladders and chairs against a brand-new opponent? There are still top Superstars without matches announced for WWE TLC, most notably Randy Orton, Alberto Del Rio and U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro — all of whom would be fresh matchups for the bald-headed shredder.

RAW Opened up with a match between Team Hell No and the Prime Time Players, but as Kane and Daniel Bryan made their way to the ring, all three members of The Shield were shown in the Skybox looking down upon the ring. As the match got underway, the cameras repeatedly cut to the trio who pretty quickly split up, leaving Ambrose alone in the Skybox, while Reigns made his way through the crowd and Rollins went AWOL. The match progressed and Rollins and Ambrose continued on their way through the crowd to the ring, eventually arriving at the barrier with Rollins still missing. Daniel Bryan picked up the win for Team Hell No and instantly Reigns and Ambrose attacked Kane on the outside, while Rollins appeared out of nowhere to assault Bryan in the ring! Ambrose and Reigns trapped Kane’s arm between the steel steps and ring post, proceeding to batter the steps with kicks in an attempt to injure Kane’s arm, while in the ring Bryan began to fight back against Rollins.

With Kane incapacitated, Ambrose and Reigns went to Rollins’ aid and Bryan was quickly subdued and hit with their deadly Powerbomb. The Shield stood over their latest victims, before exiting through the crowd.

Later on in the night, no sooner had Randy Orton defeated Brad Maddox in a one on one contest in which Maddox would secure himself a contract if he defeated his opponent. The Shield struck again as Orton’s arm was raised in victory, brutally attacking the Viper before landing their trademark Powerbomb on him and leaving him prone in the ring. Their justification for this attack? Unclear.

Then during ‘Miz TV’ as CM Punk was put through a lie detector test by The Miz, when the question came around to weather or not he was working with The Shield, he was saved from having to answer by Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns invading the ring and taking out The Miz, issuing out another beat down before Kane and Daniel Bryan attempted to make the save. But the three on two odds still were in The Shield’s favor, until the arrival of Ryback! Ryback made a beeline for Ambrose and the two brawled out of the ring and out through the crowd, while Kane and Bryan took on Seth and Reigns, effectively and for the first time neutralizing The Shield long enough for Ryback to return to the ring and issue some payback on CM Punk. Since their arrival on RAW, this has been the first time Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns have been put on the run. But we all know they’ll regroup and next week there’ll be hell to pay!

Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns – The Shield – attacked Ryback once again at last night’s RAW live event in Asheville, North Carolina. Ryback was facing CM Punk in the main event when The Shield stopped Shell Shocked and caused the DQ.

After the match, Ryback fought The Shield off when Kane and Daniel Bryan ran out to help. Punk tried to attack Ryback from behind but got his mouth busted open and caught Shell Shocked to end it. Ryback closed the show by cutting a promo and saying he would win the WWE Title at TLC. He added that when The Rock asks at the Royal Rumble if Ryback smells what The Rock is cooking, he’s going to respond with a, “Feed Me More!”

Published by Jen, Filed in is still buzzing, as is the whole world, with the arrival of The Shield and more specifically for us, Dean Ambrose. But their motives are still in question after their actions on RAW. .com provides another article and gives you the chance to have your say!

By now, the entire WWE Universe knows their name — The Shield.

After brutally attacking Ryback at Survivor Series, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns changed the entire landscape of WWE. (PHOTOS) But one has to question if their actions contradict their words.

“We’re not renegades. We’re not mercenaries. We’re not The Nexus. We’re about principles. We’re about honor. Where honor no longer exists, we’re going to step in. We’re a shield from injustice.”Dean Ambrose

Although WWE Champion CM Punk has been the one to reap the benefits of the group’s actions, they claim it is just “coincidence.” If Ryback or Cena were the ones being wronged, they would act on their behalf just the same, they said. (WATCH: THE SHIELD EXPLAINS ITS MOTIVES)

But was putting Ryback through a table at Survivor Series in a 3-on-1 attack fair? What about yet another 3-on-1 attack on Ryback the next night on Raw? (PHOTOS | WATCH). Despite his size, Ryback didn’t stand a chance. What honor is there in three Superstars attacking just one? And certainly, the unexpected attack on Tyson Kidd and Santino Marella on Nov. 20 didn’t involve any honor. (FULL STORY)

Despite the group’s claims, it begs the question: Is the black-clad trio being upfront about its intentions, or is there something more sinister lurking behind The Shield? As the group continues to make a major impact, the entire WWE Universe will be keeping a watchful eye on what their brand of justice will bring next.

Is The Shield out to right wrongs and stop injustice in WWE? (VOTE NOW) Or are they really hypocrites? Post your comments below, Tout your ideas or sound off now on Facebook and Twitter using #TheShield.

Dean Ambrose is a dangerous man.

The Cincinnati scrapper began his path to WWE with a fearless career on the independent scene, notable for his ability both to absorb and to distribute punishment in equal measure. Through his years toiling away in obscurity, Ambrose competed in some of the most vicious environments imaginable, sacrificing his body and blood in the pursuit of inflicting as much damage on his opponent as humanly possible. Victory was incidental. What mattered to Ambrose was always the message.

The trend would continue upon Ambrose’s arrival in WWE’s developmental territory. The young Superstar had barely set foot in the big leagues when he laid down a challenge at the feet of William Regal, ultimately competing with the Englishman in a brutal one-on-one match that left Regal scarred and Ambrose with a dislocated shoulder.

When asked for his motivation behind such incidents, Ambrose’s response was chilling. “Just to see what would happen, I get bored,” he said. “When there’s a hornet’s nest buzzing, I’ve got to poke it. I like violence. I like danger. I live life to feel alive.”

Such was Ambrose’s unpredictability that he was not permitted to compete after NXT moved to Full Sail University. But true to form, he would not be held down from spreading his own personal brand of chaos to WWE. Along with NXT Champion Seth Rollins and the towering Roman Reigns, Ambrose made his most dangerous movement yet when the threesome attacked Ryback at Survivor Series 2012, driving the beast through a table and repeating the feat the next night on Raw. Ambrose led the charge, wildly hurling his body into Ryback and initiating the brutal beatdown perpetuated by his comrades.

The trio took up the name of “The Shield” — black-clad advocates of justice in a WWE they believed had lost its way — with Ambrose seemingly serving as the group’s sneering mouthpiece in their sit-down interview with Michael Cole. On the Nov. 26 edition of Raw, the group attacked both Ryback and WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No, leaving their formidable competitors strewn in a heap while The Shield stood tall, looming over their new domain.

It would appear, given all of this, nothing has changed. Dean Ambrose has poked the hornet’s nest and sent a message. What the goals of The Shield are, exactly, remains to be seen, but as always with Ambrose, it will be a revelation worth waiting for.

Once more taking time to write about the Shield in his blog, JR commented on the interview and presence of the newly titled “Shield,” and how he feels the trio will go over.

Enjoyed the Shield presentation Monday night on RAW. Not sure what I would have changed. I liked the succinct, cut to the chase interview and particularly liked the fact that it was pre-taped in a controlled environment.

Again, some younger fans will likely, at some point, grow impatient with the pace of how this faction is being built but there is no way, to my line of thinking, to hot shot effectively and force a talent or talents down the throats of a much more educated, discerning audience these days. That may have worked to some degree occasionally in the past but I’m not of the mindset that it will work today.

@thedeanambrose, @wwerollins, and @romanreigns are have unique qualities that they bring to the dance as was somewhat illustrated Monday night. Bottom line is that they all ‘want it’ and seem to be willing to continue to work harder than many of their young peers in accomplishing their goals. They are not at a place where they can essentially take a ‘day off’ of preparation. I know these three to be aggressive, in ring talents and that trait alone will help them on their journey. All three are totally different personalities which is a positive but I love the fact that they are all young and are being provided an opportunity to push others already on the main roster aside on their way to main event status.

It’s a long, hard ride (Thanks David Allan Coe) and will not be accomplished without personal sacrifice and by remaining relentless.

Michael Cole conducted an interview ‘earlier in the day’ with the NX3 trio and was almost instantly cut off by Dean Ambrose as he proceeded with his questions. Dean simply telling him to just spit it out if he had a question. Cole nervously obeyed the instruction and asked if the three of them were here to defend Punk, he was met with an abrupt ‘No’ from Dean, before Seth Rollins took over and began to explain that the three of them had sat down in NXT and watched the WWE become a popularity contest, that true talent was being bypassed in favor of whoever the WWE Universe cheered for and that this was injust. Ambrose continued, explaining that they saw the fact that CM Punk had been forced to defend his WWE Championship against two men he’d already defeated, as an injustice. In this day and age a 365 day Title reign is one massive accomplishment and should be celebrated, had that accolade been Rybacks’s, they would have jumped in in his defense instead.

In short, they’ve arrived in the WWE to right the injustices that they see in the WWE. Declaring themselves to be ‘The Shield’. Reigns put an end to the interview shortly thereafter, the trio leaving Michael Cole duly intimidated.

During the Main Event between CM Punk and Kane, The Shield arrived at ringside and circled the ring, waiting for the match to finish. With CM Punk victorious, Ambrose, Rollins & Reigns entered the ring and for a moment seemed like they may go after Punk, before suddenly and viciously turning their attention to Kane, issuing another brutal beatdown. Daniel Bryan ran in for the save but was caught almost immediately by the trio and issues the same punishment. As The Shield dominated, Ryback made his presence felt and for a handful of moments got the better of the threesome, however with the numbers game and a little help from CM Punk, Ambrose and co were soon delivering yet another brutal powerbomb to Ryback, leaving him down and out in the ring. Punk stood tall over the wrecking machine, while The Shield gloated over their handywork. Not in allegiance with Punk? Hmmm.
